Palworld’s latest patch fixes Lifmunk Effigies bug, other issues

Palworld has released its latest patch for Xbox and Steam players that fixes the Lifmunk Effigies bug, among other issues.

Palworld has released its latest patch for Steam and Xbox and it contains one big fix players have been waiting for, among a handful of others.

If you’ve been farming Lifmunk Effigies, which can be used to increase your Pal capture rate via the Statue of Power, the game wasn’t actually registering the increase.

However, that has been fixed in this latest patch.

Fixed an issue where, although the displayed capture probability increased when the capture power was strengthened with Lifmunk Effigies, the capture probability did not actually increase at all due to an internal processing bug.

Now, a look at what else was included in the latest patch.

Palworld: All legendary Pals and where to find them

The four legendary Pals in Palworld and where to find them.

As you approach level 50 in Palworld, it’ll be time to to take on legendary Pals which, as you’d expect, are much more powerful and difficult to catch than any others you’ll encounter in the open world.

The four legendary Pals are Frostallion, Jetragon, Necromus and Paladius, and each are absolutely worth catching, especially if you need help with the final boss tower.

However, before you can go grab them, you’ll need to bring some things with you.

First, you’ll want Pals that are level 50 and strong against the legendary Pals’ element types, something we’ll go over shortly. Also, you’re going to need the proper weapons to help your Pal out, and the best to go with are the Assault Rifle and Rocket Launcher.

And, last but certainly not least, having legendary Pal Spheres will best help you combat the low catch rate each has. Ultra Spheres work on them, also, but obviously your catch rate will be lower. No matter which one you use, make sure to bring plenty of them.

Two things each of these legendary Pals have in common are very powerful passive skills, one of which is “Legend” that gives +20% attack and defense, as well as +15% work speed. In addition, each has an element-specific passive that grants +20% damage to its element type.

If you’re looking to breed the strongest Pals possible, you want these passives as options. Now, a look at each legendary Pal and where to find them on the map.

Palworld: General tips to help players on their adventure

Some general tips for Palworld players as they go through their adventure.

As you start and progress through Palworld, the wildly-successful game from developer Pocketpair, you’ll have no shortage of questions that simply can’t be answered in-game.

Upon starting Palworld, which went into early access on Jan. 19 and has since seen a whopping 19 million players, I went in blind and that has led to some regrets about how I approached things in the early game.

Granted, none of these mistakes were backbreaking by any stretch, but having the knowledge I have now would have made life easier.

Knowing that, here’s a look at a bunch of tips for players to know that will help you avoid the same pitfalls many players have experienced.

Palworld patch changes: Latest patch to fix more critical issues

A look at the notes from the latest patch for Palworld.

While Palworld has enjoyed incredible success since going into early access on Jan. 19, with a grand total of 19 million copies sold between Steam and Xbox, there have been several critical issues that have popped up.

That is to be expected with a game in early access, but the developer behind Palworld, Pocketpair, is already hard at work in trying to fix said issues and has deployed yet another patch.

The patch has already been released for Steam users, but Xbox players will have to wait a bit longer, although the exact date for the patch’s implementation has yet to be announced.

Regardless, Palworld continues to move in the right direction in terms of getting out fixes — and more will be deployed down the road.

Now, a look at what was fixed in the most recent patch.

Palworld base-building tips for the perfect home

Need some tips for building your base in Palworld? We have you covered!

The major thing that separates Palworld from Pokemon titles is the fact that there is a survival/crafting element to the former. Combining those elements with capturing creatures has proven to be quite the successful recipe for Pocket Pair, the developer behind Palworld.

Knowing that, base-building is a key feature in the game and going about it the right way can greatly help your cause when it comes to getting the resources you need to craft all the important items in the game.

Putting together an ideal base doesn’t just involve building pretty things. The location and overall layout of your structures can make a huge difference in how well your base and Pals work for you, and how well you’ll be able to thwart enemy raids.

That said, let’s take a look at a slew of base-building tips that will help you early on and a bit later in the game once you’ve leveled up some.

Breaking down Palworld’s roadmap for future updates

A look at what’s in store for Palworld in future content updates after a roadmap was recently revealed.

Pocket Pair, the developer behind the wildly-successful new survival/creature capture game, Palworld, has released a roadmap that details what is planned for future updates.

Palworld is off to an incredible start, with the game selling eight million copies on Steam alone since it went into early access on Jan. 19. Of course, those numbers don’t include Xbox players, which is wild to think about.

While fans of the game are already having a blast with the content they have, Palworld does have future content updates coming down the road.

However, first things first: bug fixes are at the top of the list, as they should be.

Some of those fixes have already started rolling out, including a fix to counter cheaters, a loading screen bug and a visual bug for world date rollbacks.

But the road map also includes more fixes coming, including configuration improvements and an improvement to the pathing of Pals in the base, which can be an issue depending on the layout.

If you thought that was all fantastic news, just wait until you see some of the actual content updates coming after Palworld rightly prioritizes bug fixes, etc.

Here’s a look at each of those planned content updates.

Palworld: Best pals to get your early-game base going

A look at seven Pals that are easy to catch and can help get production in your Palworld base going.

Palworld has exploded in popularity and is a very fun game to play, but some of the fun can get taken out of it if you aren’t efficient in obtaining the resources you need to craft crucial items.

Luckily, Pals can help you do that when deployed at your home base, which makes the process much easier.

But not all Pals are created equal, especially in the early game. Some are much more efficient than others, mostly because they can handle multiple tasks within your base.

Knowing that, it’s important to have a grasp on which Pals will help you out the most. Here’s a look at seven Pals you’ll find in the early game that are easy to catch and can help you get production in your base going.

Palworld: 4 reasons you need to play ‘Pokemon with guns’

Four reasons why you need to check out the Pokemon-like survival game, Palworld.

After releasing into early access on Jan. 19, Palworld, the new survival game from Pocketpair that has widely been dubbed “Pokemon with guns,” has exploded in popularity during its first 24 hours on the market.

According to the game’s developer, Palworld sold one million copies in eight hours, and that figure does not include the people who are playing it through Xbox Game Pass.

Palworld is available on Steam for $26.99 at a 10-percent discount, but if you want a cheaper option you also have the ability to play it through Game Pass, which comes at a monthly cost of $9.99 and has a 14-day trial for $1.

After seeing all the hype surrounding this game, and knowing that I’m a fan of both Pokemon and survival games, I just had to jump in and give it a look to see what all the fuss was about.

And, following my nine hours or so with Palworld, I can see why people are loving it. Here’s a look at four reasons why you should give Palworld a shot.

Palworld gives Pokémon-like creatures guns for some bizarre reason

Gotta cap ’em all.

Every so often, an absolutely bananas video game comes along that causes everyone to stand in wondrous awe, and Palworld  is the latest example.

Developed by Japanese studio Pocket Pair, Palworld  is a bizarro monster-collecting game  similar to Pokémon  — only there are guns. Not to be confused with the  unofficial Pokémon FPS, either. Palworld  is an open-world crafting survival game where to catch cutesy monsters, store them in Poké Ball-like spheres, and occasionally mow-down enemies with machine guns. Yes, really.

On Monday, Pocket Pair graced us with Palworld’s  second trailer, and it’s every bit absurd as everyone would hope. Be sure to check it out for yourself below.

We might already have an early frontrunner for  the weirdest gaming story  of 2022. Though you have to hand it to Palworld, it doesn’t look cheaply made — far from it, in fact. Palworld  is coming to PC sometime this year, though no exact date or release window has been given by Pocket Pair yet.

The timing for Palworld’s  new trailer couldn’t be better, given everyone is ridiculously  excited for Pokémon Legends: Arceuswhich comes out later this week. Given that monster collecting games are in short supply, here’s to hoping that Palworld  turns out well.
