The Indiana Pacers (9-11) square off against the Memphis Grizzlies (13-7) Sunday afternoon. Tip-off from FedExForum is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Pacers vs. Grizzlies odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: First meeting; tied 1-1 last season
The Pacers enter after being punked 130-106 by the Detroit Pistons Friday night. The Pacers were 5-point favorites. F Pascal Siakam led the team with 21 points and scooped up 9 boards. PG Tyrese Haliburton added 19 points and 5 dimes on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor. The setback snapped a 3-game winning streak.
Memphis is on a tear with its fifth straight win Friday. The Grizzlies narrowly missed covering the 11.5-point spread with a 120-109 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. G Ja Morant had 27 points and 7 dimes while F Jared Jackson Jr. had 23 points, 8 boards and 2 blocks. The two combined to go 0-for-9 from downtown.

Pacers at Grizzlies picks and predictions
Prediction
Grizzlies 122, Pacers 110
Moneyline
I am with the Grizz here, but frankly, I’m a little surprised at how much discrepancy there is on the ML. The Pacers are 9-11 overall and 2-8 on the road, but they aren’t so far behind the Grizzlies to have a +200 ML. If you have a free bet, I’d consider it because they have a better chance at winning than their odds suggest.
I’m going with JA MORANT OVER 21.5 POINTS (-120). I looked at this and wondered why this number was so low. He has really not been aggressive this year. He’s averaging nearly 4 fewer PPG and nearly 3 1/2 fewer shot attempts but has a career-high 9.1 assists per game. Lately, though, he has been shooting more – dropping 27, 22, 20 and 25 in his last 4 games. It could be a sign of things to come.

Against the spread
The Pacers are just 1-8-1 over their last 10. They beat Memphis last January, but Memphis was without Morant and SG Desmond Bane. Memphis has also covered in 6 straight meetings.
Yes, I alluded to the Pacers having a chance to win this game. The smart money, though, is on the GRIZZLIES -6.5 (-110).
Over/Under
The Over is 1-3-1 in the last 5 meetings. The Pacers are 2-2 O/U in their last 4, and Memphis has cashed Unders in 2 of 3. I’m going Under here because the Pacers just aren’t the same team this year – at least not yet. They’re tied for 10th in the league at 114.4 PPG and 11th in pace. They’re also 21st with 12.3 made 3-pointers per game and 28th in boards. Both of those are going to have to be targeted at the trade deadline if they want to make a push.
Take the UNDER 244.5 (-115).
