Mecole Hardman’s August prediction of beating the 49ers in the Super Bowl came true… kind of

Well, this is fascinating.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman started the season with the New York Jets, and it was there he’d predict a Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Back in August 2023, Oz the Mentalist visited the Jets and brought Hardman up for a moment of prognostication.

It’d end with Harmdan predicting the Jets would beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl with a 31-21 score, which Oz the Mentalist revealed on a board behind Hardman to the shock of everyone in the room.

Well, Hardman’s prediction was partly right, as he was part of a team that defeated the 49ers in the big game. The only difference was the team (the Chiefs, where he got traded back to later in the 2023 season) and the score (25-22).

This is still a pretty wild coincidence, as we’re guessing not even the world’s best guessers could’ve seen this ending coming.

Well, Hardman did, just only in part. The fact that he caught the game-winning touchdown made it even sweeter.

Pat McAfee tried and failed to stump Oz the Mentalist during a College GameDay card trick

Good try, Pat.

Pat McAfee tried to stump Oz the Mentalist during a College GameDay card trick, and it didn’t go as the former NFL punter would’ve hoped.

As mentalist and Michigan alum Oz Pearlman visited the College GameDay crew for Saturday’s big Ohio State game against Penn State, he got McAfee involved on one of his signature card tricks.

Rather than just go along with the stunt, McAfee tried to outwit Oz the Mentalist a bit on the trick but wound up, like the rest of us, being the one on the shocked end of what Pearlman is able to do.

Whether you’re stunned or unmoved by card tricks like this, it’s never a good idea to try and get one past the mentalist during the moment.

Good job; good effort for McAfee, but it was just not going to happen.

McAfee joins a long line of sports personalities who have been hoodwinked by one of Pearlman’s magic tricks. We’re guessing he won’t be the last.
