Our Motorsports’ 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in review

Our Motorsports had a down year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Here, you can check out the NASCAR team’s 2023 season in review!

[autotag]Our Motorsports[/autotag] downsized its NASCAR Xfinity Series operations for the 2023 season and didn’t succeed. Blaine Perkins was the main driver for the No. 02 car and didn’t record a single top-10 finish. This was significantly down to the 2022 NASCAR season when Our Motorsports had one top-5 finish and nine top-10 finishes between its drivers.

David Starr and Kyle Weatherman were the only drivers outside Perkins to drive its entry. Weatherman had the best runs with a 20.4 average finishing position, which was seven spots better than Perkins or Starr. Overall, it was a disappointing season for Our Motorsports as they couldn’t truly find the speed to run well.

In 2024, the hope is that Our Motorsports will turn it around. Anthony Alfredo will drive the No. 5 Xfinity car full-time and allow them to build a race-winning program. Alfredo had four top-10 finishes with the organization in 2022, and this partnership will allow both parties to grow in the Xfinity Series.

Anthony Alfredo to join Our Motorsports during 2024 NASCAR season

Anthony Alfredo will drive the No. 5 Xfinity car for Our Motorsports on a full-time basis during the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

[autotag]Anthony Alfredo[/autotag] has found a new home for the 2024 NASCAR season. Alfredo announced on Thursday morning that he will drive the No. 5 Xfinity car for [autotag]Our Motorsports[/autotag] full-time in 2024. The former B.J. McLeod Motorsports driver spent the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season with Our Motorsports in the No. 23 entry before leaving the team.

In 2022, Alfredo finished the year with one top-5 finish, four top-10 finishes, and a 19.3 average finishing position, ending 15th in the point standings. With B.J. McLeod Motorsports, Alfredo’s statistics dropped in every area as he only claimed two top-10 finishes and a 24.1 average finishing position while ending 20th in the point standings.

Overall, this is a good partnership as Our Motorsports has a full-time driver for the first time since 2022. Alfredo will return to a place he knows well and hopes to establish a home. He has been jumping around for several seasons, so returning to a well-known place will help. The goal will be to compete for a spot in the 2024 playoffs while building from the success two years ago.
