The internet recoiled as ESPN’s Mike Golic Jr. enjoyed an Oreo dipped in mayo during the Duke’s Mayo Bowl

Why would you do this. Why.

The Duke’s Mayo Bowl has almost the whole nation enraptured as college football fans wait out the game for the highly anticipated mayo bath for the winning coach. But if you thought it was going to be a normal game in any sense of the word, you were way off.

It has been a interesting product on the field through the first half as South Carolina jumped out to an early lead over North Carolina, but viewers were delighted and horrified as ESPN commentators Mike Golic Jr. and Anish Shroff dipped “creme-filled cookies” into jars of mayo for a quick snack.

Golic Jr., the clear instigator for the event, called the hellacious combo a “really interesting blend of flavors” before giving it a thumbs up. Shroff, immediately looked full of regret (and mayonnaise).

The internet, of course, had thoughts.

Giannis Antetokoumpo explained how dunking Oreos in milk became an “every night snack” for him and it was hilarious

Here’s how Giannis discovered Oreos and milk as a combination.

Giannis Antetokounmpo just discovered that he could dunk his Oreo cookies in milk and, obviously, he loves it.

He loves it so much, in fact, that it is now a certified bedtime snack for the NBA champion. That feels like a pretty wild snack to eat before bed, but hey. Who am I to judge?

Anyway, he was asked about his newfound love during a press conference and whether it was going to be on his Thanksgiving menu. That’s a pretty simple question and, really, a quick yes or no.

But his response took two minutes.

And he explained exactly how he discovered his newfound love. The story was the best. While shooting a commercial about Oreos, he was asked by one of the kids if he had Oreos before. He said, yes, of course.

But then he was asked if he’d dunked them in milk before. And his life completely changed after that.

“I took the Oreos, and I threw it in the milk. He was like ‘no, just dunk it, like put it in’…I grab a spoon and took the first one. I was like ‘What the hell? No freaking way.’ He said ‘do you like them?’ I said ‘bro, this is amazing.”

BOOM. Life changed. He went as far as calling the Oreos an “every night snack” for him from now on. Sounds delicious.

I’m sure his dentist probably isn’t excited about that, though.

Giannis Antetokounmpo just discovered dunking Oreos into milk and has the best reaction

This is the most wholesome thing ever.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is as ferocious as it gets on the basketball court. He will absolutely destroy you.

He’s a 6’11 gazelle streaking down the floor ready to dunk on you or block your shot at any moment. There’s nothing nice or sweet about this dude in between those lines.

But off the court? That’s a different story. He seems like the most wholesome dude ever off the court. Case in point: His new story on how he discovered you could dunk Oreos into milk.

That’s right. Giannis didn’t know this was a thing people did. And that’s reasonable considering it seems to be an American thing and he’s not American.

But some kid told him to do it and, clearly, this changed his world. He tweeted about it.

This is the absolute best.  It’s also like that time he discovered smoothies. Just an amazing, incredible moment.

My man called Oreos with milk his new bedtime snack. That, in itself, is just ridiculous. He better have himself a great toothbrush because he’s going to need it.

Truly, I cannot wait to see what food he discovers next.
