The UCLA Bruins (1-2, 0-1 Big Ten) welcome the No. 7 Oregon Ducks (3-0, 0-0) to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oregon vs. UCLA odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oregon is No. 7 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. It has close calls with the Idaho Vandals and Boise State Broncos to open the season. In the former, the Ducks were favored by 49 and won by 10, and in the latter, they were favored by 18 and won by 3. Oregon got back to its dominant ways in Week 3, winning 49-14 on the road against the Oregon State Beavers, covering as an 18.5-point favorite. It is led by QB Dillon Gabriel, who has 6 TDs and 0 INTs in 3 games.

UCLA hasn’t quite been as competent this season. It opened its season with its lone win, beating the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors 16-13, but the Bruins failed to cover in that match. UCLA lost 42-13 to the Indiana Hoosiers, and then lost 34-17 at the LSU Tigers in Week 4, but covered as a 21-point underdog. UCLA is 1-2 against the spread (ATS). It is led by QB Ethan Garbers, who has 3 TDs and 4 INTs.

Oregon at UCLA picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 42, UCLA 14

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no value on the moneyline here. Carry on and avoid this play.

Against the spread

BET OREGON -25.5 (-110).

The Ducks may start to turn it on, and they showed that high-octane offense over the last few weeks. While they didn’t cover against Boise State in Week 2, they did score 37 and then upped that to 49 in Week 3. Oregon is 1-0 ATS on the road.

The Bruins are 0-1 ATS at home and have allowed an average of 38 points per game over the last 2. They don’t have a QB capable of keeping up with Gabriel and the high-powered Ducks. UCLA has yet to score more than 17 points in a game.

Couple that together and back OREGON -25.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 55 (-110).

The Bruins have been consistent offensively, scoring between 13 and 17 points in all 3 games. Don’t expect them to really have an outburst offensively here. However, they have allowed 38 points per game and will be playing their best offensive opponent yet.

Similarly, the Ducks have yet to allow fewer than 14 points in a game and have averaged 43 points over the last 2 games and have gone Over in 2 of 3 games. Gabriel isn’t a 1-man show either as the Ducks rushed for 240 yards against the Beavers in Week 3.

Expect the Ducks to dominate, but given that their defense hasn’t consistently held opponents below 14, expect points to be scored on both sides. Take OVER 55 (-110).

Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon vs. UCLA odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Oregon vs. UCLA odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The 4th-seed Oregon Ducks (19-13) and top-seeded UCLA Bruins (28-4) meet Friday in Las Vegas for a Pac-12 Tournament semifinal. Tip from T-Mobile Arena is at 9 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Oregon vs. UCLA odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Oregon defeated 5th-seeded Washington State 75-70 Thursday. The win marked the 4th in a row for the Ducks, although getting it accomplished was a bit of a highwire act. UO led big in the 1st half but then succumbed to a monster run by the Cougars. The Ducks eventually trailed for most of the final 10 minutes before prevailing in the final 2 minutes of play.

UCLA has not lost since Jan. 26. The Bruins took down 9th-seeded Colorado 72-64 Thursday, earning their 11th straight victory. That stretch includes a 70-63 win over the Ducks in Eugene on Feb. 11; the No. 2 team in NCAA-I swept 2 regular-season games from the Ducks after having lost 4 straight to UO from 2020-2022.

Oregon vs. UCLA picks and predictions

Prediction

UCLA 70, Oregon 64

Moneyline

Figure the true odds as being buried between these prices.

AVOID.

Against the spread

Oregon is likely not strong enough defensively to keep this game within 5 points. The last time these teams played the Bruins ran away from the Ducks in the 2nd half and to more of a degree than what showed in the final 70-63 tally — and while shooting just 38.8% on their 2-point attempts.

A strong UCLA perimeter defense can help defend a multiple-possession lead late, but the margin here is slim. Consider a partial-unit play on the BRUINS -5.5 (-115).

Over/Under

Figure on a mid-pace game with solid defense but some 2nd-chance looks in numbers and some UCLA transition ball. A mid-130s total is fair.

Oregon at UCLA odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Oregon at UCLA odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oregon Ducks (9-6, 2-2 Pac-12) travel south to square off against the No. 3 UCLA Bruins (10-1, 2-0) Thursday night for a 9:30 p.m. ET tip-off at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Below, we look at the Oregon vs. UCLA odds and lines and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oregon is a middle-of-the-pack Pac-12 squad but one that has gone 4-1 since Dec. 15, with a 79-70 setback against current-No. 1 Baylor as its only loss along that stretch.

The Ducks coming off a close shave at Oregon State Monday where they topped the Beavers 78-76 despite going just 8-for-18 (44.4%) from the free-throw line. Oregon ranks 11th in the PAC-12 in free-throw accuracy (64.3%).

The Bruins have climbed their way to No. 3 by winning five straight games since losing to Gonzaga Nov. 23. Its been a start-and-stop climb as UCLA has had six games canceled or postponed over the last six weeks. The games that have been played have been impressive wins by an average of over 14 points per game.

Oregon at UCLA odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

UCLA 77, Oregon 69

Money line

PASS. Consider Oregon on any tags north of +400.

Against the spread

UCLA is the better team, but with all its missed time it hasn’t been tested much.

The Ducks are a solid shooting team with a bit of momentum. Oregon has tightened up defensively, and it doesn’t take much of a stretch to see the Ducks keep this deficit in single digits. From an optics standpoint, staying close to UCLA in this one could be big for head coach Dana Altman and company.

TAKE OREGON +9.5 (-107).

Over/Under

The Over is 8-1 in Oregon’s last nine games overall. The Over is 6-0 in the Bruins’ last six against winning teams.

Peg the OVER 141.5 (-110) with a slight lean.

Oregon at UCLA odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Oregon Ducks at UCLA Bruins odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 10 Oregon Ducks (5-1, 2-1 Pac-12) stop by the Rose Bowl Saturday for a conference clash with the UCLA Bruins (5-2, 3-1) at 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Oregon vs. UCLA odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings according to the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oregon bounced back from an overtime loss at the Stanford Cardinal to beat the California Golden Bears 24-17 as a 13.5-point home favorite Oct. 15. The only cover on the Ducks’ resume this season was in their 35-28 road upset of the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes in Week 2.

UCLA took down the Washington Huskies 24-17 as a 1.5-point road underdog to win and cover for the third time in four games. The Bruins are 5-2 ATS and 3-4 O/U with the 33rd-toughest schedule, according to USA TODAY’s Jeff Sagarin.

The Bruins are 0-2 overall (1-1 ATS) vs. the Ducks since head coach Chip Kelly took over the program in 2018. Kelly was Oregon’s head coach from 2009-12. The Ducks won 86.8% of their games under Kelly and lost in the 2010 BCS Championship to the Auburn Tigers.

UCLA at Oregon odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

UCLA 37, Oregon 28

Money line

This is the year UCLA (-120) and Kelly gets it done vs. Oregon. Both teams have awesome offensive lines, but the Bruins’ defensive front is far better than the Ducks’.

For instance, UCLA’s offensive line ranks sixth in line yards per snap and Oregon’s ranks 10th, according to Football Outsiders. But the Bruins rank 21st in defensive line yards per snap while the Ducks rank 84th.

Also, even though Oregon ranks ahead of UCLA on Football Outsiders’ FEI Ratings, the Bruins have a higher net drive efficiency, net points per drive and net points per play than the Ducks.

There’s not a lot separating these teams but Oregon has a better rep because this Chip Kelly-UCLA thing hasn’t worked as fast as people hoped. But it’s working now and the Ducks have a lot more names on their injury report than the Bruins.

BET 1 unit on UCLA (-120).

Against the spread

PASS. However, I’d certainly bet the Bruins if they become underdogs.

Over/Under

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Over 60.5 (-110) because there’s been a sharp line move in that direction and the Over cashed in the last two Oregon-UCLA meetings.

According to Pregame.com, nearly 90% of the money is on the Over, which has steamed this total up from the 58.5-point opener. However, since I don’t like following a crowd in sports betting, I’m going to PASS on my “lean” to the Over.
