The UCLA Bruins (1-2, 0-1 Big Ten) welcome the No. 7 Oregon Ducks (3-0, 0-0) to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oregon vs. UCLA odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
Oregon is No. 7 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. It has close calls with the Idaho Vandals and Boise State Broncos to open the season. In the former, the Ducks were favored by 49 and won by 10, and in the latter, they were favored by 18 and won by 3. Oregon got back to its dominant ways in Week 3, winning 49-14 on the road against the Oregon State Beavers, covering as an 18.5-point favorite. It is led by QB Dillon Gabriel, who has 6 TDs and 0 INTs in 3 games.
UCLA hasn’t quite been as competent this season. It opened its season with its lone win, beating the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors 16-13, but the Bruins failed to cover in that match. UCLA lost 42-13 to the Indiana Hoosiers, and then lost 34-17 at the LSU Tigers in Week 4, but covered as a 21-point underdog. UCLA is 1-2 against the spread (ATS). It is led by QB Ethan Garbers, who has 3 TDs and 4 INTs.

Oregon at UCLA picks and predictions
Prediction
Oregon 42, UCLA 14
Moneyline
PASS.
There’s no value on the moneyline here. Carry on and avoid this play.
Against the spread
BET OREGON -25.5 (-110).
The Ducks may start to turn it on, and they showed that high-octane offense over the last few weeks. While they didn’t cover against Boise State in Week 2, they did score 37 and then upped that to 49 in Week 3. Oregon is 1-0 ATS on the road.
The Bruins are 0-1 ATS at home and have allowed an average of 38 points per game over the last 2. They don’t have a QB capable of keeping up with Gabriel and the high-powered Ducks. UCLA has yet to score more than 17 points in a game.
Couple that together and back OREGON -25.5 (-110).
Over/Under
BET OVER 55 (-110).
The Bruins have been consistent offensively, scoring between 13 and 17 points in all 3 games. Don’t expect them to really have an outburst offensively here. However, they have allowed 38 points per game and will be playing their best offensive opponent yet.
Similarly, the Ducks have yet to allow fewer than 14 points in a game and have averaged 43 points over the last 2 games and have gone Over in 2 of 3 games. Gabriel isn’t a 1-man show either as the Ducks rushed for 240 yards against the Beavers in Week 3.
Expect the Ducks to dominate, but given that their defense hasn’t consistently held opponents below 14, expect points to be scored on both sides. Take OVER 55 (-110).
