Andrew Hawkins and son star in new Oprah short film

Former Cleveland Browns WR Andrew Hawkins and his son released an inspirational short film with the Oprah Network called “These Hands.”

Andrew Hawkins best season in the NFL came with the Cleveland Browns in 2014. The diminutive receiver caught 63 passes for 824 yards and two touchdowns after signing a free-agent contract to come over from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hawk, as he was affectionately known, played three seasons with the Browns with 123 receptions for over 1,400 yards. Hawkins also played 35 games for the Bengals early in his career.

At 5’7″ with a smaller frame, Hawkins’s journey to the NFL and success is a story of hard work, dedication, and great short-area quickness.

Since retiring from the NFL after a very short stop in New England, Hawkins started the ThomaHawk Podcast with Browns great Joe Thomas. Both have since parlayed their podcast success into successful broadcasting careers.

Today, the Oprah Network premiered a short film of Hawkins with his son called “These Hands.” An inspirational message to kids that they can be anything:

This is not the first time that Hawkins has made a fun video with his son. Years ago we got this hilarious gem:

It is clear that Hawkins has big plans in the media world. Partnering with Oprah to release “These Hands” is a sign that the media world is buying what Andrew Hawkins is selling.

As he noted in his tweet, Hawk really hopes you “vibe with the message.”
