[autotag]Victoria Lee[/autotag] may not have gotten the first-round finish she wanted, but she looked impressive nonetheless.
Lee (1-0), the 16-year-old sister of ONE Championship atomweight champion Angela Lee and ONE lightweight contender Christian Lee, had a successful pro debut when she submitted Sunisa Srisen in the second round at ONE Championship 129: Fists of Fury on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
In a competitive back-and-forth first round, Srisen was able to land solid shots on the feet when the two traded in the pocket and clinch. Srisen tossed Lee on her back, but when Lee worked for an inverted triangle, Srisen decided to disengage.
The pair found themselves back in the clinch not long after. But the second time, it was Lee who dragged Srisen to the mat. Lee showed off her slick ground skills and went back and forth between choke attempts on Srisen and ground-and-pound until the end of the round.
Looking to replicate her success from Round 1, Lee took the fight back down to the canvas quickly into the second round. She took Srisen’s back, then sank in a rear-naked-choke a little more than a minute into Round 2, and Srisen was forced to tap.
