After the Texas Longhorns secured a top-five class in the 2022 cycle, there is plenty of work to do if they are to repeat that success.
The good news for Steve Sarkisian and company is the state has plenty of top prospects available. In fact, the Lone Star State has the most top-rated prospects of any state based on the early rankings.
Texas doesn’t have the No. 1 prospect this year. Arch Manning plays in New Orleans, Louisiana. He could be playing in Texas as early as next year, though, as the Horns are among the five teams pursuing him the most. He is set for another visit in the spring.
The staff is trying to gain pledges from Jalen Hale, David Hicks, Anthony Hill and Rueben Owens. Each is among the very best the state has to offer.
