The offseason re-tooling of Rutgers wrestling continued on Thursday with the addition of Mitch Moore from the transfer portal.
Moore comes to the program in the 141-pound weight class according to Wrestle Stat. He has qualified multiple times for the NCAA Tournament.
He has ties to the Big Ten region, having grown up in Ohio. Last season at 149 pounds, he went 19-9 for Oklahoma.
In 2021, Moore transferred from Virginia Tech to Oklahoma..
It has been a busy offseason for Rutgers wrestling, with Moore representing a third significant addition to the program via the transfer portal. It was needed as Rutgers finished this past season at No. 22 in the final NWCA Coaches Poll.
