The No. 9 Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) and No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners (10-1, 7-1) tangle Saturday in the 2021 renewal of an in-state rivalry they call Bedlam. The battle at Boone Pickens Stadium is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Below, we look at the Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.
The Sooners defeated Iowa State 28-21 last Saturday in a bounce-back effort after losing to Baylor Nov. 13. Oklahoma downed the Cyclones despite going just 1-for-10 in converting third downs. The Sooners have scored a combined 42 points over the last two weeks after averaging 43.3 points per game the previous eight contests.
Oklahoma State blanked Texas Tech 23-0 Saturday. The Cowboys have won four straight games – allowing a combined 23 points in the process – since falling to Iowa State Oct. 23. In what sets up as a top-10 offense against a top-10 defense (points), the Cowboys fill the role of the latter. They have allowed just 14.9 points per game (third FBS).

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Oklahoma State 31, Oklahoma 27
Money line
The Cowboys’ defense creating havoc figures as a key in Saturday’s contest. A turnover or two (and OU has been exceeding turnover-lucky through 11 games) and a few momentum-killing plays that put the Sooners behind the chains make Oklahoma State a near-70% proposition. And that makes the OKLAHOMA STATE (-190) play one to leverage.
Look for OSU to force Oklahoma into a couple drive-killing field-goal attempts. And the Cowboys have averaged 524.8 total yards per game over their last four efforts at home.
Against the spread
OSU has won nine in a row against the number. But there is enough gray area on this 4-and-a-half tag to make the Cowboys a PASS here.
Over/Under
This total has moved down a couple points during the week and is now ripe for some leverage the other way.
The balance of the Oklahoma offense will lead to enough points on the Sooners’ side of the equation. Oklahoma State will likely have to pass more than it wants to leverage a matchup advantage against the Sooners.
The average total across the last five Bedlam games is 71.5. On a decent-weather day in Stillwater, PLAY THE OVER 49.5 (-108).
