A monster fourth quarter from Scoot Henderson helped lead the Ignite to the win over the OKC Blue.

The Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, played a morning game against the G League Ignite on Wednesday.

The Ignite used a Scoot Henderson 16-point fourth quarter to escape with a 110-95 win.

Here are some of the notable performances from the game.

Scoot Henderson: 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting, five rebounds, five assists and four steals

D.J. Wilson: 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting

Ousmane Dieng: five points on 2-of-9 shooting, nine rebounds and three assists

Jaden Shackelford: 24 points on 8-of-9 shooting and 6-of-7 three-point shooting

A quick recap of the OKC Blue’s win over Scoot Henderson and the G League Ignite.

The Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, defeated the G League Ignite, 104-88, to improve to 3-1.

With the Blue playing their game simultaneously with the Thunder’s loss to the Boston Celtics, not many eyes were on them. That is a shame because Monday marked projected top-two 2023 pick Scoot Henderson playing in Paycom Center for the first of presumably several times.

Luckily though, both teams play each other once again on Wednesday morning in a rematch. Here are some of the notable performances and highlights from the Blue’s second consecutive win over the Ignite:

OKC Thunder news: Jaylin Williams recalled from G League’s OKC Blue

Jaylin Williams was recalled from the OKC Blue on Friday by the Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Friday they have recalled rookie forward Jaylin Williams from their G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.

Williams played in the Blue’s last two home games against the G League’s Santa Cruz Warriors. In three games with the Blue, Williams is averaging 11.3 points on 63.6% shooting, nine rebounds and 6.3 assists.

With the recall, Williams is expected to be active for the Thunder’s game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

In two games with the Thunder, Williams is averaging three points and 3.5 rebounds. Williams was taken 34th overall in the 2022 NBA draft.

G League’s OKC Blue acquire Ryan Woolridge, waive Kevin Kangu

The OKC Blue made a pair of roster moves.

The Oklahoma City Blue — the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder — announced on Thursday that they have acquired Ryan Woolridge and waived Kevin Kangu in a corresponding move.

Wooldridge went undrafted in the 2020 NBA draft. The 25-year-old played for the Blue in 2021. In 14 games with the Blue, he averaged 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

While Woolridge attended Gonzaga, his college tenure did not intersect with No. 2 pick Chet Holmgren.

Kangu was drafted by the Blue in the 2022 G League draft. The 20-year-old also spent the 2022 Summer League with the Thunder. Kangu is friends with fellow Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — who is the face of the franchise for the Thunder.

The Blue are currently 2-0 in the young 2022-23 G League season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Tuesday that they have assigned rookie forwards Ousmane Dieng and Jaylin Williams to their G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.

The Blue play their home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 9 against the Santa Cruz Warriors — the Golden State Warriors G League affiliate.

Chances are, both Dieng and Williams will play for the Blue and then be recalled to the Thunder before their home game against the Milwaukee Bucks later that day. This is a tactic the Thunder used often last season, a benefit of having both the NBA and G League teams play in the same arena.

In nine games, Dieng is averaging 3.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Thunder. In two games, Williams is averaging three points and 3.5 rebounds with the Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Saturday that they have recalled rookie forward Jaylin Williams from the G League’s Oklahoma City Blue.

Williams was assigned to the Blue on Thursday and played in their season opener on Friday against the G League Ignite. He finished with eight points and 11 rebounds in a 134-125 win.

Considering the Blue played in Las Vegas and the Thunder are in Milwaukee to play the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, it’s unknown if Williams will be activated for the game.
