The North Carolina Tar Heels have officially received a commitment from four-star wide receiver [autotag]Jordan Shipp[/autotag].
Sunday afternoon was a win for UNC fans, with Shipp choosing the Carolina Blue hat over Michigan and NC State during his announcement. The decision occurred at Providence Day high school, where family, friends, teammates, and coaches surrounded Shipp.
Shipp is ranked the 13th-best wide receiver in the state and has become a consistent problem for opposing defenses.
Last season, Shipp racked up 1,088 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns on 62 receptions. He had two games where he reached the end-zone three times. Arguably his best game came against the Charlotte Cougars, where he finished with ten receptions for 128-yard game to help Providence win 21-20.
The commitment continues Mack Brown’s resume of strong recruiting. UNC is loading up for life after Drake Maye, ensuring the next QB in line has plenty of weapons to choose from.
