Oklahoma vs Alabama injury report: Sooners Wide Receivers Downgraded

The Oklahoma Sooners look to be heading into their matchup with Alabama once again without key wide receivers.

Just when it seemed like things were coming together for the Oklahoma Sooners on the injury front, at least a little bit, the Sooners downgraded Jalil Farooq to questionable.

On the initial injury report, Farooq wasn’t even listed, so his presence puts in doubt his availability for Saturday’s game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Oklahoma can’t seem to find any luck on the injury front, but that’s been the case all year.

Once again, the Sooners are trending to be without their top five wide receivers against Alabama.

Here’s a look at the latest injury report.

Michael Tarquin injury update

After missing Oklahoma’s last two games against Maine and Missouri, it looks like starting tackle Michael Tarquin will be back in action this week after not landing on the initial injury report. Now, the question becomes, does he take over at right or left tackle?

Jalil Farooq injury update

Jalil Farooq has been recovering from a surgically repaired broken foot suffered in week one. He appeared on a limited basis two weeks ago against Missouri. After initially not showing up on the injury report, Farooq was listed as questionable on Thursday’s update.

Deion Burks injury update

Deion Burks was downgraded to out for Saturday’s game against Alabama. He suffered a concussion in the second half of the Missouri game. Though it’ll be two weeks between games, there’s no reason to rush Burks back from injury at this point in the season.

Jovantae Barnes injury update

Jovantae Barnes sprained his ankle during his 200-yard effort against Maine and was forced to miss the game against Missouri. Though listed as questionable for this week, he’s had two weeks to rest. Depending on how severe the initial injury was, he could be back in action this week.

Gavin Sawchuk injury update

Running back Gavin Sawchuk was off the injury report for Oklahoma’s game against Missouri but didn’t play. Instead, Taylor Tatum, Xavier Robinson, and Sam Franklin who got the running back snaps. Could Sawchuk be available this week to help the Sooners’ rushing attack?

Joshua Bates injury update

Joshua Bates was moved to out for this Saturday against Alabama.

Is Tommi Hill playing on Saturday? Injury updates for the Husker cornerback

Nebraska cornerback Tommi Hill is dealing with a foot injury. Here are the latest updates.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule has confirmed that defensive back Tommi Hill will be out for the remainder of the regular season. The cornerback has been dealing with a foot injury for most of the 2024 season. In seven games this season, he’s recorded 21 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and one interception (returned for a touchdown). The coaches and media named him Honorable Mention All-Big Ten for the 2023 seasons. Hill entered 2024 with draft expectations and was invited to the upcoming Senior Bowl. Matt Rhule made the official announcement on Thursday afternoon.

Tommi Hill injury update

Matt Rhule said the following on Thursday

“Tommi will be out for the next two games. He’s tried to play. It’s obviously tough. He’s dealing with a lot. So I just shut him down. He’s been invited to the Senior Bowl and maybe he’ll be ready for bowl practice. He’s out there playing at half and three-quarter speed that led to first touchdown against USC and the first touchdown against Indiana and the first touchdown in the Illinois game. I feel for him, he came in with high expectations.”

How long will Tommi Hill be out?

On Thursday, Rhule announced that the senior cornerback would be out for the season’s final two games as he continues to rehab from his injury and prepare for the Senior Bowl.

The Huskers will face the Badgers this Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on Big Ten Network.

Cedric Tillman injury vs Steelers: Latest news on Browns WR

Browns WR Cedric Tillman is dealing with a head injury. Here are the latest updates.

Cleveland Browns starting receiver Cedric Tillman left the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tillman went to the medical tent during the waning seconds of the third quarter.

Tillman suffered a head injury from a big hit at the first down marker on a third and medium. Tillman fought through multiple Steelers defenders before getting injured. Tillman was escorted to the medical tent immediately and ushered to the locker room for further evaluation in this game.

Tillman had an up-and-down game against the Steelers. He made a big catch and run with his first target before fumbling the ball deep into the Steelers’ territory. The Browns managed to stop the Steelers offense from scoring on the turnover. Tillman is a good player, and he needs more experience. Hopefully, he can rejoin the team soon enough.

The Cleveland Browns are leading the Pittsburgh Steelers on primetime 18-13.  The Browns must hold off the Steelers for another quarter to give their home crowd a much-needed victory.

Rams vs. Eagles injury report: Rob Havenstein upgraded, DeVonta Smith misses 2nd practice

Rob Havenstein and 3 others were upgraded on Thursday, while DeVonta Smith remains out of practice for the Eagles

After holding a walk-through on Wednesday, the Rams had a normal practice Thursday in preparation for this weekend’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was an important day for a few injured players on Los Angeles’ side, including Rob Havenstein.

Havenstein was one of four players who had their participation levels improve after Wednesday’s walk-through. Havenstein went from DNP to limited, while three others went from limited to full.

On the Eagles’ side of things, two players missed practice, including DeVonta Smith. Two others were limited, and Jalen Hurts was upgraded to a full participation so he’s certain to play this weekend.

Rams injury report

Eagles injury report

Rob Havenstein injury update

Havenstein was upgraded to limited on Thursday after being estimated as a non-participant in Wednesday’s walk-through. That’s a good sign for the Rams right tackle, but he’s not certain to play just yet.

Cobie Durant injury update

Durant was also upgraded from limited to full. There aren’t any real concerns about his chances of playing on Sunday.

Joe Noteboom injury update

Noteboom was a full participant on Thursday after missing last week’s game. If Havenstein is out, it’s still likely that the Rams will start Warren McClendon Jr. over Noteboom.

Kevin Dotson injury update

Dotson missed practice with an illness so it’s uncertain what his status looks like for Sunday’s game. Sean McVay will provide an update on Friday.

DeVonta Smith injury update

Smith has now missed two practices in a row due to a hamstring injury, putting his status for this week’s game in doubt. It seems possible the Eagles will be without their No. 2 receiver on Sunday night, which would be a big loss.

What to know from Indianapolis Colts second Week 12 injury report

Let’s take a closer look at what you need to know from the Indianapolis Colts second Week 12 injury report.

The Indianapolis Colts were on the practice field for the first time on Thursday after holding a walkthrough on Wednesday, and released their second Week 12 injury report.

Let’s take a closer look at what you need to know.

– We will see what Friday brings, but Raimann did not practice again on Thursday and hasn’t practiced since exiting the Buffalo game in the first half with a knee injury. Last week, Shane Steichen would call Raimann week to week and mentioned on Wednesday that they would see how he progresses this week before making a decision about this Sunday. However, with him not having practiced in almost two weeks now, I would guess that Matt Goncalves will get the start at left tackle again. We will see.

– Michael Pittman was a full participant for a second day–a good sign that his back is feeling well coming out on last Sunday’s game.

– Braden Smith was upgraded from a limited participant to a full participant as he works through a foot injury. Again, a good sign for this week’s game against a very good Lions’ defense.

– Of note, Josh Downs and Kenny Moore were added to the injury report after not being listed on Wednesday, but both were full participants.

– Lastly, Tyquan Lewis, who was designated to return from IR on Wednesday was a full participant for the second straight day. When asked about the possibility of playing this week even though he just returned to practice after missing the last seven weeks, Lewis said this via the Indy Star:

“It’s possible,” Lewis said of playing this week. “However, I do think moving on throughout the week, we’ve just got to get adjusted to playing again.”

Auburn vs. Texas A&M injury report: Latest updates, news for Saturday’s game

All the latest updates and news on Auburn’s injury report ahead of Saturday’s game vs. Texas A&M.

The initial SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report for week 13’s action features several notable names from Auburn ahead of its game with No. 14 Texas A&M on Saturday night.

Auburn’s injury report includes four players who are nursing season-ending injuries: DBs [autotag]Tyler Scott[/autotag] and [autotag]Champ Anthony[/autotag], TE [autotag]Brandon Frazier[/autotag], and LB [autotag]Jamonta Waller[/autotag]. Three other players are included, two are ruled out while one is deemed “questionable.”

Four Aggies have been ruled out for Saturday’s game, one of those is surprisingly not running back Reuben Owens. Owens was reportedly ruled out for the season after sustaining a lower-leg injury but has been upgraded to doubtful for Saturday’s game.

Here’s a full rundown of the initial SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report ahead of Saturday’s game between Auburn and Texas A&M.

Auburn injury report

  • WR Caleb Burton (Out)

Caleb Wooden injury update

Wooden did not play in last week’s game vs. ULM due to an undisclosed injury. According to a report from Auburn Undercover, Wooden returned to practice this week, which could be a good sign for his chances to play vs. Texas A&M.

Alex McPherson injury update

McPherson has missed nearly every game this season due to complications from a gastrointestinal illness. He is listed as “out” again this week, which means that walk-on kicker Ian Vachon will remain the Tigers’ placekicker after connecting on 6-of-6 extra point attempts and going 2-for-2 on field goal opportunities.

Caleb Burton injury update

Auburn Undercover reports that Burton was placed in concussion protocol earlier this month and has yet to return to the practice field. Burton has appeared in three games this season, recording two catches for 49 yards.

Remaining injury update

Waller, Scott, Anthony, and Frazier are battling season-ending injuries and will not return to the field for the 2024 season.
