Goodbye playoffs.
Barring a miracle, the New England Patriots lost the slim chance they had for a playoff spot after falling 24-3 to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night. The Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders pulled away with victories in Week 13 to gain the No. 9 and No. 8 spots, respectively.
As for the game at hand, it was a long night for Cam Newton and the offense. New England played in SoFi Stadium in Week 13 and crushed the Los Angeles Chargers 45-0, but that stadium didn’t do them justice in Week 14. Rookie running back Cam Akers gained an edge in his positional battle and the Rams’ defense is as good as advertised.
