For the third consecutive week, the New England Patriots will be without star cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
Gilmore leads a group of inactives, against the Baltimore Ravens, that includes Ja’Whaun Bentley, J.J. Taylor, Hjalte Froholdt, Isaiah Mack, Jordan Thomas and Brian Hoyer.
Fortunately for the Patriots — Lawrence Guy, Damien Harris and N’Keal harry are all active for the contest. Guy’s a fundamental piece along the Patriots defensive line and his presence will be much-needed against a run-heavy team in Baltimore. Harris’ status was a game-time decision, but he overcame the chest injury.
Harry gives the Patriots another option at receiver, which is huge after last week’s win against the Jets. Jakobi Meyers and Damiere Byrd were the only formidable receivers on the field.
Patriots inactives:
CB Stephon Gilmore
LB Ja'Whaun Bentley
RB J.J. Taylor
G Hjalte Froholdt
DT Isaiah Mack
TE Jordan Thomas
QB Brian HoyerThis means DT Lawrence Guy, RB Damien Harris and WR N'Keal Harry are in.
