After recently announcing he would be transferring back to the Hawkeye state, recruiting experts are coming around to the idea that 2025 offensive tackle prospect Nick Brooks will eventually choose Iowa.
A consensus four-star talent, Brooks revealed he would be transferring to Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The 6-foot-8, 340 pound offensive tackle was offered by the Hawkeyes after his April 4 visit.
David Eickholt of Hawkeye Insider submitted a 247Sports crystal ball prediction today for Iowa to land Brooks. He joins colleague Sean Bock as 247Sports experts that are projecting Brooks to the Hawkeyes. Bock did so on May 6.
Brooks also has a pair of Rivals FutureCasts in to land with Iowa as well. UGASports.com‘s Ben Bachmann put in his FutureCast on May 6, while Go Iowa Awesome‘s Eliot Clough did the same on May 9.
Hawkeye Report‘s Tom Kakert of On3 was actually the first to put in a prediction for Brooks to Iowa. He submitted his On3 prediction on April 18.
Landing Brooks would be a serious jumpstart to the Hawkeyes’ 2025 recruiting efforts. ESPN rates Brooks as the No. 78 player nationally in the 2025 class, as the No. 11 offensive tackle and the top player in the state of Iowa.
Rivals regards Brooks as the No. 109 player overall and as the No. 12 offensive tackle in the class. On3 lists Brooks as the No. 142 player nationally and as the No. 14 offensive tackle. Finally, 247Sports ranks Brooks as the No. 186 prospect in the country, as the No. 17 offensive tackle and as the No. 2 player from Iowa.
In addition to the Hawkeyes, Brooks also holds offers from Power 5 programs Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa State, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas.
