The Los Angeles Chargers are 3-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12 of the 2022 regular season. The over/under is 49 points, per Tipico Sportsbook.

That means oddsmakers are taking bets on whether the two teams will combine to score more than or fewer than 49 points.

My score prediction for the game is a 27-17 win for the Chargers, with a total of 44 points. So if I were putting money behind my prediction, I’d bet the under.

Why Cleveland Will Win

Cleveland might be having injury issues with Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, and seemingly everyone else, but Kareem Hunt is expected to be back and part of a rotation for the best running game in the NFL.

The production on the ground has been able to go well enough to overcome the absence of any meaningful downfield passing game, and that combined with the defense should be just enough to keep this close into the fourth yards.

The D has allowed fewer than 17 points in four of the last five games.

Why Baltimore Will Win

Lamar Jackson is back and supposedly healthy after being sick last week and missing the win over the Bears.

The team was able to rally back to pull off the thriller, but the offense sputtered.

In this, a hot start would be nice to make Cleveland have to bust out of its shell and throw a bit, but, but it can handle the ground game.

The Ravens are second in the NFL against the run, they only allow 4.2 yards per carry, and they have problems against the good passing teams.

That’s not Cleveland.

What’s Going To Happen

These two teams are successful hot messes, but Cleveland has it a little worse.

The Brown offense had a massive game against Cincinnati, but that’s been it over the last several weeks. As long as Baltimore doesn’t turn it over in bunches, it should be fine.

However, it’s Baltimore. No matter what, this is going to come down to the final minutes – this team can’t play boring games.

Why San Francisco Will Win

San Francisco has found a few things that work, too.

With three wins in the last four games, the 49ers are rolling offensively with 30 points or more in three of the last four games.

The run defense has been a rock, and the takeaways are coming, but the turnaround has come because of Deebo Samuel making big things happen, the return George Kittle as a part of the fun, and the ground game is among the best in the league.

What’s Going To Happen

Everyone will be paying attention to the Rams and Packers, but this might be the better game.

Both teams have found their grooves. Minnesota is throwing well, San Francisco is running well, and both things will kick in at the same time in a fun back-and-forth fight.

The 49er pass defense will come up with the few big plays the Minnesota run defense won’t.

The Bronco defense has been good overall, and it manages to do a lot of bending without breaking, but running for 150 yards shouldn’t be a problem if the Chargers commit to it.

This is an interesting Bronco team that should be an X factor over the next several weeks.

It’s coming off a bye week, and it needs to be extra-charged with at trip to Kansas City coming up.

When the team gets a good balance, it wins. It doesn’t have to be all that explosive, but it’s got a good rhythm with the running game and Teddy Bridgewater should be stronger after getting a little time off.

Tyrod Taylor gives the offensive a decent presence – even if there’s no playmaking ability among the skill spots to work with – but this will be all about getting Wilson to make a slew of mistakes.

Again, really – there’s no Atlanta running game.

The Falcons are averaging just over three yards per carry and failed to hit 100 yards in seven of the last nine games. It’ll be on Ryan to get things moving, and he will.

Getting a few extra days off after a Thursday night game will do wonders.

There’s just enough of a commitment to the passing attack for Hurts to spread the ball around, but again, stop the run, stop the Eagles.

Do the Titans have anyone left?

Derrick Henry has been out for weeks, AJ Brown isn’t able to go, Julio Jones has been relatively absent when he’s able to play, and it all came to a head against the Texans.

If you’re turning the ball over against that group, there’s about to be a huge issue against the New England D that’s not only among the best in the NFL at taking the ball away, it’s among the best in the league overall.

Run the ball, don’t take any chances, work the clock. That’s what the Patriots do, and Tennessee will play into their hands.

Tennessee desperately needs to get to the bye week and rest up – it’s beaten up and bruised, and it showed last week.

Combine that with New England – who also hasn’t had a bye yet – getting a few extra days off after playing on Thursday night last week, and Bill Belichick will get the physical game his team needs.

The Patriots have allowed 13 points in the last three games. Tennessee will get its points, but the picks will be there, too.
