Patience can be tough for football fans of losing teams. While the Carolina Panthers have posted three sub-500 seasons in a row, it’s important to remember that this is still a relatively young team that’s in the middle of a rebuilding process.
According to Colts writer Andrew Walker, Carolina has the second-youngest roster in the NFL right now, with an average age of 24.74 years, tied with the Vikings. Only LA (24.62) is younger.
The youth movement is most prevalent on the defensive side of the ball, where there’s the most room for growth. If key pieces like Jeremy Chinn, Derrick Brown and Jaycee Horn develop well as they gain more experience at this level, Phil Snow’s job should get easier every year.
