Scott Hanson calmly continued to host NFL RedZone as an alarm blared in the studio

Scott Hanson is an absolute pro.

The NFL RedZone crew found themselves in a bit of a predicament on Sunday night.

As the late Sunday games were winding down, with the highlight being a back and forth Philadelphia Eagles versus Buffalo Bills matchup, an alarm starting blaring during the NFL RedZone broadcast. While false alarms happen all the time, host Scott Hanson and the rest of the NFL RedZone crew were told to evacuate the building on air in the middle of their broadcast!

Here’s how the initial alarm and evacuation happened on NFL RedZone, with Hanson’s narration of the incident.

Thankfully, it seemed as if it was safe enough for Hanson to return, as he came back to finish off the broadcast a few moments later.

After the broadcast, Hanson took to Twitter to provide a much-needed update on the situation.

It’s a relief to know the NFL RedZone crew ended up safe after all that! Here’s how NFL fans reacted to the sudden alarm and Hanson’s calm coverage of it.

DirecTV will now include NFL RedZone, but fans will miss the Andrew Siciliano version

An official so long to the Andrew Siciliano version of DirecTV’s Red Zone channel.

We knew that with YouTube TV taking over with Sunday NFL Ticket DirecTV might not have the same football offerings in 2023.

Fear not, at least when it comes to RedZone, the Sunday show that gives you all the scoring highlights and end-of-game drama hosted by Scott Hanson. DirecTV agreed to carry NFL Network and NFL RedZone.

But there’s something there that’s a bummer if you were a fan of the original Red Zone channel that DirecTV carried, hosted by Andrew Siciliano.

They did more than 300 shows before Siciliano said goodbye after 17 years. So with this news, some NFL fans mourned the official loss of the OG Red Zone channel:

NFL Red Zone’s Andrew Siciliano misses show after positive COVID-19 test

Andrew Siciliano missed his first show after 260 in a row following a positive test for COVID-19.

Well-wishes go out to NFL Network and Red Zone’s Andrew Siciliano. The constant for 260 consecutive shows told fans on Twitter he was missing his first after a positive COVID-19 test.

Siciliano said he had another test that came back negative but out of fairness and caution to his colleagues he would take the day off.

Hopefully, the negative test is the correct one and this is a one-week miss.
