Quarterback Lamar Jackson has been superhuman lately and needed just 22 pass attempts, and nine carries to total five touchdowns Monday night.

Jackson’s entourage includes tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, running backs Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, and lastly, wide receivers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

Any and every defensive tactic thrown at the Ravens can be easily countered due to the plethora of options they have in personnel.

When opponents crowd the box, Jackson can target Bateman and Flowers on deep routes like we saw Monday. Yet, when defenses show two-high safeties, Jackson can target pass catchers at the intermediate and short level or target underneath voids with HB screen plays.

Ultimately, the team’s plush personnel and offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s mastermind are currently fueling its success on offense. The team has looked pretty much unstoppable on offense through six weeks.

Lions lead the NFL in explosive plays on offense after Week 6

No team gets a higher percentage of big plays on offense than the Lions do under Ben Johnson

Through the first six weeks of the NFL season, the Detroit Lions lead the NFL in scoring offense. Ben Johnson’s unit averages 30.2 PPG, a figure bolstered by two straight games of topping 40 points.

Johnson’s offense is so potent because they’re very good at creating explosive plays. Whether it’s on the ground or in the air, the Lions are capable of ripping off chunks of yardage better than any other team.

Explosive plays are defined as runs that gain 10 or more yards and pass plays that net 20 or more yards. The league average is 8.6 percent, and the Lions are well above-average.

Ben Johnson’s offense produces those explosive plays at a rate of 13.1 percent, just ahead of the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts for the best percentage in the league after Week 6. It’s based on percentage of offensive plays, so the Lions already having a bye week doesn’t factor into the ranking.

From Jared Goff hooking up with Jameson Williams or Sam LaPorta, to big runs from David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, the Lions are proving they have the most dangerous, explosive offense in the NFL.

Where CeeDee Lamb ranks among top slot receivers in the NFL

A look at where former Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver CeeDee Lamb ranks among the top slot WRs in the NFL.

The rookie season for former Oklahoma star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb couldn’t have gone much better with all things considered. Despite losing his quarterback Dak Prescott to a lower leg injury against the New York Giants in the early going, the Dallas Cowboys rookie was very productive.

Not only was Lamb one of the best rookie receivers in all of the NFL, but he was also one of the most productive receivers from the slot period. Losing Prescott did hurt his production as he didn’t have a single 100-yard performance without him, but Lamb still made his mark during his first season in the NFL. With a fully healthy Prescott returning in 2021, the sky is the limit for the former Sooner.

According to Doug Farrar of Touchdown Wire, CeeDee Lamb is among the 10 best slot receivers in the league after one season. He made the cut at exactly No. 10.

The former Oklahoma star took very little time to get the hang of Dallas’ passing offense in his rookie season, even after Dak Prescott was lost for the season due to injury in Week 5. Whether it was Prescott, Andy Dalton, Ben DiNucci, or Garrett Gilbert throwing him the ball, Lamb was able to combine his open-field speed and impressive understanding of the requirements of the position to amass 69 slot receptions on 101 targets for 877 yards and five touchdowns. No NFL receiver caught more slot passes of 20 or more air yards than Lamb’s 10 for 306 yards and two touchdowns; imagine what that might look like with a full season of Prescott throwing him the ball. – Farrar

The stock on CeeDee Lamb is expected to soar in 2021, so make sure you have him in your fantasy football drafts prior to the season.
