The Minnesota Vikings entered the 2023 NFL Draft with a handful of needs and they elected to address the offense in the 1st round. With the 23rd overall pick, the Vikings took WR Jordan Addison out of USC in hopes to bolster their wide receiver room around WR Justin Jefferson.
The Vikings are tied for the 16th-best odds to win the Super Bowl (+5000), the 7th-best odds to win the NFC (+1800), and the 2nd-best odds to win the NFC North (+300) — the Detroit Lions are the favorites at +140.
There isn’t much value in taking the Vikings at those odds, but there is value in taking Addison to win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award (+1600) in 2023.
Below, we look at the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds at BetMGM Sportsbook – with the best suggestion among our expert NFL picks and predictions.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year best bet
WR Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings (+1600)
Many people are understandably predicting Robinson to win the NFL’s Rookie of the Year award in 2023. The Texas Longhorns running back was selected by the Falcons with the 8th overall pick. He enters an offense that is centered around utilizing its running backs.
Quarterbacks are typically favored to win this award due to it being the most important position in football. However, wide receivers have taken home the past 2 trophies: Jets WR Garrett Wilson last season and Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase the year before.
For Addison, there is a path for him to have an extremely productive rookie season for the Vikings. Minnesota recently released RB Dalvin Cook, which means 199 combined targets from a season ago are now vacated with WR Adam Thielen and TE Irv Smith Jr. also departing in free agency.
More specifically, Addison is expected to assume the No. 2 role at wide receiver alongside Jefferson. Even though he didn’t have a stellar season in 2022, Thielen ran the 2nd-most routes in the NFL (619), putting him only behind Jefferson (per the33rdteam.com).
The Vikings threw the ball 672 times last season — 3rd-most in the NFL — and their passing volume shouldn’t change much in 2023. The release of Cook should lead to more passing opportunities. Plus, they parted ways with LB Za’Darius Smith, DT Dalvin Tomlinson and LB Eric Kendricks on the defensive side of the ball.
The Vikings could be a pass-centric team again this season with QB Kirk Cousins entering a contract year. Addison could reap the benefits despite Jefferson arguably being the best wideout in the NFL.
BET JORDAN ADDISON to win NFL OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR (+1600) in 2023.
