DT Calijah Kancey wins NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for November

Tampa Bay’s first-round draft pick has been a formidable pass rusher this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ first-round draft pick dealt with injury for the first part of his tenure this season, but since coming back, he’s been a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line.

The team announced that Bucs defensive tackle [autotag]Calijah Kancey[/autotag] has won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month award for November. Kancey is the second Buccaneer to receive a monthly honor of any kind, with punter Jake Camarda netting an NFC Special Teams Player of the Month award earlier in the year.

Kancey has the numbers to back up the award. He had 10 tackles total for the month of November, seven of which went for a loss and two that were sacks. Kancey also had 14 pressures during the four-game stretch, further proving his pass-rushing acumen.
