Indianapolis Colts at Chicago Bears odds, picks and best bets

Previewing the Indianapolis Colts at Chicago Bears Week 4 betting odds, spread and lines, with NFL betting picks, tips and best bets.

The Indianapolis Colts (2-1) have turned things around after a shocking loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, winning their next two games. They’ll visit the Chicago Bears (3-0) Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Soldier Field. Below, we analyze the Colts-Bears Week 4 matchup, including the betting odds, spread and lines, and look at the best NFL betting options.

  • Money line: Colts -134 (bet $134, win $100) | Bears +115 (Bet $100, win $115)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Colts -2 (-110) | Bears +2 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 42.5 (O: -110, U: -110)

Colts at Bears game notes

  • The Colts boast the No. 1 defense in the NFL, both in scoring (15 points per game) and yards per play allowed (4.39).
  • Since losing to the Jaguars in Week 1, the Colts have outscored their last two opponents 64-18.
  • All three of the Bears’ wins have been by exactly four points. They’re 2-1 ATS, with their lone loss coming as 4.5-point favorites against the New York Giants.
  • The Bears and Colts have split the all-time series 3-3. Chicago has won two of the last three, though.
  • The total has gone Over in two of the Bears’ three games, but Under in two of Indianapolis’ three.

Colts at Bears key injuries

Colts

  • CB T.J. Carrie (hamstring) questionable
  • WR Michael Pittman Jr. (calf) out

Bears

  • SS Deon Bush (groin) probable
  • OLB Khalil Mack (knee) probable
  • DB Sherrick McManis (hamstring) questionable

Colts at Bears: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Colts 23, Bears 17

Money line (?)

This is by no means a lopsided matchup. The money line shows that, with the Colts only being -134 as the favorites. The Bears will be starting QB Nick Foles for the first time after he led them to a comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons last week, likely making them more competitive against the Colts.

However, that was against a leaky Falcons secondary. This Colts defense will give Foles fits and cause him to regress compared to the way he played last week. Take the COLTS (-134) to win outright.

Against the spread (?)

COLTS -2 may seem like a surprise considering they’re on the road against a team with a better record. But the Colts are a more complete team with a better quarterback in Philip Rivers.

It’ll be their defense that carries them in this one, though, keeping the Bears offense in check for the most part. Bet the COLTS to cover the spread.

Over/Under (?)

The Over/Under of 42.5 is the lowest of any game on Sunday. That’s hardly surprising considering the talent level of the Colts defense, and the lack of consistency we’ve seen from the Bears offense.

Bet the UNDER as neither offense looks likely to light up the scoreboard. Expect a heavy dose of the running game and solid defense on both sides.

Seahawks at Dolphins: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Seahawks 34, Dolphins 30

Money line (?)

The Seahawks look unstoppable and QB Wilson is on an incredible roll. However, there are major concerns on defense and they could be missing three defensive starters. That said, don’t bet against them. Take the SEAHAWKS (-295).

New to sports betting? Every $295 wagered on the Seahawks to win outright will return a profit of $100 if they prevail.

Against the Spread (?)

Despite their awful defense, the Seahawks have covered all three games this season. Miami is 2-1 ATS. With Seattle’s defensive absences, expect Fitzpatrick and company to keep it close but falter at the end. Take the DOLPHINS +6.5 (-110).

Over/Under (?)

All three games this season for Seattle have gone Over by a significant margin. As long as it is scoring over 30 and giving up nearly 30 a game, that’s what happens. Expect the same to happen in South Beach. Take the OVER 53.5 (-110).

Coming off their first win of the season, the Detroit Lions (1-2) host the New Orleans Saints (1-2) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Ford Field. Below, we analyze the Saints-Lions Week 4 matchup, including the betting odds, spread and lines, and look at the best NFL betting options.

Saints at Lions betting odds and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 5:05 am. ET.

  • Money line: Lions +180 (bet $100, win $180) | Saints -213 (Bet $213, win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Lions +4 (-110) | Saints -4 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 54.5 (O: -110, U: -110)

Special Week 4 NFL Betting Promotion!

Bet $1 on ANY NFL team’s Sunday money line, WIN $100 (in free bets) if ANY TEAM scores a touchdown during Sunday’s Week 4 action. Regardless of the outcome of your bet, you win with a touchdown scored by any team. Place your legal, online NFL bets in CO, IN, NJ and WV at BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks. Terms and conditions apply. Bet now!

Saints at Lions game notes

  • Detroit picked up its first win of the season in Week 3, a 26-23 last-second road win over the Arizona Cardinals.
  • The Saints are allowing opponents to convert on third down 49% of the time. The Lions convert on third down 40% of the time.
  • Detroit has had leads in every game this season.
  • The Saints have allowed more than 30 points in each of their last two games.
  • Saints WR Michael Thomas should return this week.

Saints at Lions key injuries

Saints

  • G Andrus Peat (ankle) doubtful
  • TE Jared Cook (groin) out
  • CB Janoris Jenkins (illness, shoulder) limited Thursday
  • DE Marcus Davenport (elbow, toe) DNP Thursday
  • CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) doubtful
  • WR Michael Thomas (ankle) limited Thursday

Lions

  • CB Desmond Trufant (hamstring) questionable
  • CB Darryl Roberts (hip) questionable

Saints at Lions: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Saints 35, Lions 30

Money line (?)

The Saints enter the game favored and have lost two in a row, allowing more than 30 points in each game. The Lions are coming off a win. With Thomas’ return at receiver for New Orleans, its offense should look more like it has in the past, but its defense will struggle to defend the Lions passing game. However, Detroit’s defense is not good and, unless it gets three takeaways like in Arizona, the Lions have little chance to slow the Saints. Take the SAINTS -213.

New to sports betting? Every $213 wagered on the Saints to win outright will return a profit of $100 if they prevail.

Against the Spread (?)

Both teams are 1-2 ATS so far this season. With Thomas’ return to the Saints lineup, they should be able to put up points. Four points isn’t giving up much, so with a late score, they will cover the spread. Take the SAINTS -4 (-110).

Over/Under (?)

New Orleans’ games have gone Over in all three games. Detroit’s have hit the Over in two of three. These are two talented quarterbacks with all their offensive weapons, while both defenses have struggled. This is a lock. Take the OVER 54.5 (-110).

Previewing the New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams Week 4 betting odds, spread and lines, with NFL betting picks, tips and best bets.

The winless New York Giants (0-3) travel across the country for a meeting with the Los Angeles Rams (2-1) on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. Below, we analyze the Giants-Rams Week 4 matchup, including the betting odds, spread and lines, and look at the best NFL betting options.

Giants at Rams betting odds and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 4:18 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Giants +575 (bet $100, win $575) | Rams -834 (Bet $834, win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Giants +13.5 (-110) | Rams -13.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 47.5 (O: -110, U: -110)

Special New Jersey Betting Promotion!

Bet just $1 on the New York Giants money line, WIN $100 (in free bets) if the Giants score a touchdown! Regardless of the outcome, you win with a G-Men touchdown. Place your legal, online bets in New Jersey at BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks. Terms and conditions apply. Bet now!

Giants and Rams game notes

  • The Rams beat the Giants 51-17 in their last meeting, Nov. 5, 2017 at East Rutherford, N.J.
  • The Giants rank last in the NFL in rushing, while the Rams are first in rush attempts this season. Giants RB Saquon Barkley is out for the year with a torn ACL.
  • New York is 1-2 against the spread (ATS) this season, with the total going Under in two of its three games. The Rams are 2-1 ATS with a 2-1 Over/Under record.
  • In their last 11 games against the NFC dating back to last season, the Giants are 1-10.
  • The total has gone Over in five of the last six games between the Rams and Giants.

Giants at Rams key injuries

Giants

  • S Jabrill Peppers (ankle) DNP Thursday
  • S Julian Love (knee/ankle) limited Thursday

Rams

  • RB Cam Akers (ribs) DNP Thursday
  • S Jordan Fuller (shoulder) limited Thursday

Giants at Rams: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Rams 31, Giants 13

Money line (?)

The Rams are huge favorites over the winless Giants despite suffering a 35-32 loss at the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. The Giants offense is lost without Barkley, and QB Daniel Jones hasn’t proved capable of carrying the load with his star running back out.

At -834, the Rams are a safe bet to win this one, but there’s little reward that comes with betting on them. Still, there’s a very slim chance they’ll lose outright. Take the RAMS (-834).

New to sports betting? Every $834 wagered on the Rams to win outright will return a profit of $100 if they do so.

Against the spread (?)

The Rams are 13.5-point favorites, the second-largest line of Week 4. They’re fully expected to win this game, and after seeing them crush the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, there’s no reason to think they can’t win by double-digits.

The Giants have only lost one game by single-digits this season, too, a 17-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. The Rams will win big on Sunday and cover the large spread. Take the RAMS -13.5.

Over/Under (?)

The Over/Under is set at only 47.5 points, which based on how well the Rams offense has been playing implies the oddsmakers don’t expect much help from the Giants.

It’s hard to see how the Giants will move the ball consistently against the Rams, given the way their offense has played. Take the UNDER.

Broncos at Jets game notes

  • The Broncos started QB Jeff Driskel in Week 3, but he was pulled in the fourth quarter of the 28-10 loss in favor of practice squad call-up QB Brett Rypien. The team also has QB Blake Bortles on the roster, signed Thursday when QB Drew Lock (shoulder) went down. Head coach Vic Fangio ruled out a Bortles sighting for Week 4.
  • The Jets were drummed in Indianapolis Sunday, 36-7, and QB Sam Darnold threw two pick-six interceptions in the beating.
  • New York ranks dead-last in the NFL with 263.7 total yards and 12.3 points per game. They’re 31st with 175.3 passing yards per game.
  • The Jets have scored three total points this season in the second quarter. The Broncos are averaging 8.3 second-half points per game.
  • New York is last in the NFL in red zone efficiency (TD only) at 33.33 percent, while Denver is tied for fourth-worst in the league with a 44.44 percent mark (TD only).

Broncos at Jets key injuries

Broncos

  • RB Phillip Lindsay (foot) questionable
  • DE Shelby Harris (neck) questionable
  • Kareem Jackson (back) questionable
  • CB Bryce Callahan (wrist) questionable
  • LB Jeremiah Attaochu (quadriceps) questionable
  • QB Drew Lock (shoulder) out
  • DL Jurrell Casey (biceps) out
  • WR Cortland Sutton (knee) out
  • LB Von Miller (ankle) out

Jets

  • LT Mekhi Becton (shoulder) questionable
  • RT George Fant (concussion) questionable
  • LB Jordan Jenkins (shoulder) questionable
  • WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) questionable
  • WR Chris Hogan (ribs, knee) questionable
  • WR Breshad Perriman (ankle) out

Broncos at Jets: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Jets 19, Broncos 16

Money line (?)

The JETS (+120) are worth playing at home, as the Broncos (-143) quarterback situation is a mess. Both Driskel and Rypien might see action again, and this game might have the look of the preseason for them. While Darnold did have some tremendously costly miscues last week, he can put together an NFL-caliber performance occasionally.

Against the spread (?)

JETS (+2.5, -110) is the way to go if you’re not feeling them straight up, although there isn’t a ton of difference except for the juice. The play is the Jets plus the points, but the money line is the better value. You will be going against the grain a little, as the Jets are 0-3 ATS while the Broncos are 2-1 ATS.

Over/Under (?)

It’s no surprise that this is the lowest total on the board for Week 4. UNDER 39.5 (-110) is still the way to go. Denver was part of the lowest total on the board last week, too, and they fell to Tampa Bay 28-10 to hit the Under by four points. The Jets hit the Under last week for the first time in three games, while the under is 2-1 for the Broncos.

NFL Parlay Payday: Top Week 3 parlay bet to make

Put these five NFL Week 3 bets into a parlay and we’ll get paid exponentially if all five bets hit.

One of the best (and most fun) ways to bet on the NFL is by utilizing a parlay bet. A parlay is a multiple team/total bet where all the legs need to win for the bet to cash—because it’s the riskiest play to make.

Today, we will be creating a 5-bet NFL parlay for Week 3 using BetMGM‘s odds. This bet includes a few favorites and a few underdogs to increase the odds. Let’s take a look our top Week 3 parlay bet, shall we?

Leg 1: Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers -4.5 (-110)

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9 a.m. ET.

Despite being at home, Pittsburgh finds itself as just a 4-point favorite over the 0-2 Texans. While QB Deshaun Watson is incredible, his offensive line is not. Pittsburgh recorded seven sacks in Week 2 and could easily match that total again in this game.

Look for Pittsburgh’s defense to dominate and for the Steelers to walk to an easy victory over the Texans.

New to sports betting? This bet wins if the Steelers beat the Texans by 5 or more points.

Leg 2: Chicago Bears +3 (-110) at Atlanta Falcons

Chicago travels to Atlanta in Week 3 to play the Falcons in what promises to be a high-scoring affair. The Bears have the defensive talent to potentially slow down the Falcons offense and they should be able to keep this game close. While the Bears could certainly win this game outright, they are a great bet at +3 to cover this spread.

Bet Chicago with confidence in this game, especially considering Falcons WR Julio Jones‘ status is in question.

Special Week 3 NFL Betting Promotion!

Bet $1 on the money line for the Dallas Cowboys or Seattle Seahawks and WIN $100 (in free bets) if either team scores a touchdown during the game. Regardless of the outcome, you win with a touchdown!

Terms and conditions apply. Place your legal, online sports bets online in CO, IN, NJ and WV at BetMGM Sportsbook. Bet now!

Leg 3: Detroit Lions (+210) at Arizona Cardinals

Our one surprising upset bet in this parlay to increase our odds is Detroit over 2-0 Arizona. The Lions will be getting back star WR Kenny Golladay and they have the offense to keep up with the Cardinals when they are at full strength. Expect this to be a high-scoring game that likely comes down to the final possession or two.

At +210, the Lions are a great money line bet here to dramatically increase this five-team parlay’s odds.

Leg 4: Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks -4.5 (-110)

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has been phenomenal to start the season and should continue his hot streak against a Cowboys’ defense that allowed 39 points to the Atlanta Falcons last week. Dallas will be playing without two of its top cornerbacks in CB Chidobe Awuzie and CB Anthony Brown, and likely without both of its starting offensive tackles.

Take Seattle to win and cover in Week 3.

Leg 5: Kansas City Chiefs (+145) at Baltimore Ravens

Finally, the last bet of our parlay will come on Monday Night Football. Somehow, QB Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are 3.5-point underdogs in this contest. While that is a great bet in itself, the Chiefs to win outright pays +145. Let’s take the Super Bowl champions to pull an “upset” here to win our five-leg parlay in Week 3.

5-TEAM PARLAY | Bet $100 to earn a  $5,084.55 profit

Raiders at Patriots game notes

  • Dating back to 2005, the Patriots have won the past five meetings between these teams. A lot has changed during that time period.
  • Two of the Raiders top offensive options – RB Josh Jacobs (hip) and TE Darren Waller (knee) – are questionable; even if they do play, one has to wonder if they’ll be at 100 percent and effective.
  • The new-look Patriots are relying a ton on QB Cam Newton, possibly too much. He’s rushed 26 times for 122 yards and four touchdowns in two games to go along with passing for 552 yards and one touchdown with one pick.
  • The Under is 5-0 in the Patriots past five games when they are coming off of a game allowing 30 points, per Covers.com, and they are 0-3-1 ATS at home against a team with a winning road record.

Raiders at Patriots: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Patriots 24, Raiders 22

Money line (?)

The Patriots (-278) might be getting too much respect in this matchup, but they’re playing at home where they are 1-0 and traditionally hard to beat. There’s a lot of juice here, but confidence in the Patriots winning outright isn’t strong. PASS ON THE MONEY LINE unless you feel confident in the Patriots bouncing back with a victory. The Raiders at +225 pays $225 on every $100 bet if you’re feeling confident about an upset – I can see it, but not enough to put some skin in the game around it. Betting ATS below is the better play there to gain some insurance.

Against the spread (?)

New England, which is 1-1 ATS, is the 6.5-point favorite (-110) here, which is giving the Pats a bit too much credit. Expect this one to go down to the wire, with the Raiders, who are 2-0 ATS this season, keeping this one close. The Raiders are also 4-0 ATS over their past four games in September and their past four games overall. BET RAIDERS +6.5 (-110), where a $110 wager returns a $100 profit should the Raiders win outright or lose by 6 points or less.

Over/Under (?)

The Raiders are 2-0 O/U this season, while the Patriots are 1-1. The 46.5 point total is middle of the road for this week’s slate and these teams should flirt with just enough offense but end up HITTING THE UNDER (-110) Sunday. However, you’ll be sweating it out right to the end. The Raiders are 5-1 on hitting the Under in their past six road games.

Packers at Saints game notes

  • The Packers offense has been ridiculous to date, posting 42.5 points, 505.0 total yards and 208.5 rushing yards per game, all tops in the NFL. And they’re not bad passing the pill, either, posting 295.5 yards per outing to rank fifth.
  • Both Green Bay and New Orleans enter Sunday night’s game with a plus-2 turnover ratio.
  • The Saints haven’t been their normal high-octane selves on offense, at least not yet. They’re 20th in the NFL with 347.5 total yards per game, 26th in rushing with 97.0 rushing yards per contest and a mediocre 14th in passing yards per game at 250.5. Still, they have managed 29.0 PPG, which is good for seventh overall.
  • Defense has saved the day for New Orleans, and it will certainly be put to the test by Green Bay. The Saints are eighth in the NFL in total yards allowed (343.5) and eighth in rushing yards allowed (101.0), although they have still yielded 28.5 PPG, good for 23rd.
  • Packers RB Aaron Jones leads the NFL with 234 rushing yards and he has found the end zone three times on the ground. The former UTEP standout also has eight catches for 78 yards and a score.

Packers at Saints key injuries

Packers

  • WR Davante Adams (hamstring) doubtful
  • DL Kenny Clark (groin) questionable
  • TE Josiah Deguara (ankle) doubtful
  • LB Randy Ramsey (groin) doubtful

Saints

  • DE Marcus Davenport (elbow) questionable
  • LB Chase Hansen (hip) out
  • DE Trey Hendrickson (groin) questionable
  • RB Ty Montgomery (hamstring) questionable
  • DT David Onyemata (calf) questionable
  • WR Michael Thomas (ankle) out

Packers at Saints: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Packers 34, Saints 30

Money line (?)

The PACKERS (+135) are a tremendous value in this one, and QB Aaron Rodgers and company will not have to deal with the raucous crowd which normally fills the Superdome. The state of Louisiana signed off on limited people able to attend, but the city of New Orleans has not yet approved fans. That’s a huge advantage for Green Bay, which is already playing better football overall.

Against the spread (?)

PACKERS (+3, -110) is a solid play, although I like the money line even more. Green Bay has rolled up video game-like numbers on offense through two games. While they’re missing Adams, the Saints are without Thomas, so that wideout situation is a wash. Green Bay has more depth, and New Orleans QB Drew Brees just hasn’t looked like himself so far. Advantage PACKERS.

Over/Under (?)

OVER 52.5 (-110) is the way to go, as the defense for New Orleans has been woeful, and Green Bay’s offense has been electric. That will continue Sunday. The Packers have hit the Over in both of their games this season, combining for 77 points with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, and 63 total points in Week 2 with the Detroit Lions.
