New York Jets at Miami Dolphins odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s New York Jets at Miami Dolphins Week 15 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Jets (3-10) travel to Hard Rock Stadium Sunday for their Week 15 tilt with the Miami Dolphins (6-7) at 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jets vs. Dolphins odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

New York lost its second straight game when it fell 30-9 to the New Orleans Saints last Sunday and has been officially eliminated from playoff contention. The Jets are 3-10 ATS and 7-6 O/U with the 21st-toughest schedule, according to Football Outsiders.

Miami won its fifth consecutive contest with a 20-9 beatdown of the New York Giants prior to heading into its Week 14 bye.

The Dolphins are still hanging around the playoff scene albeit there are five teams between them and the third AFC Wild-Card seed Buffalo Bills. Miami is 7-5-1 ATS and 5-8 O/U with the 26th-hardest schedule per Football Outsiders.

Miami is 4-1 overall and 5-0 ATS against New York since hiring head coach Brian Flores in 2019 and has won three straight head-to-head meetings.

Jets at Dolphins odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Dolphins 30, Jets 14

Money line

PASS because I’m not in the business of laying -500 with any NFL regular-season money line favorite.

As the saying goes, any given Sunday any team can win in football, and perhaps this is the game Jets rookie QB Zach Wilson begins to demonstrate why he was selected No. 2 overall in this past draft.

Against the spread

BET the DOLPHINS -9.5 (-112) for 1 unit because this is just a much better spot for Miami than New York. The Dolphins are 15-8 ATS at home, 2-0 ATS following a bye week and 10-5-1 vs. AFC East foes in the Flores era (est. 2019).

Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa has become underrated in my opinion. Tua ranks 12th in expected points added (EPA) plus completion over expectation (CPOE) composite and is seventh in QBR. He’s furthermore been doing this behind a terrible offensive line and with banged-up wide receivers.

That said, I prefer teasing Miami’s spread below the key number of 3. This is a very chalky play as a vast majority of the market is betting Miami here.

However, it’s DOLPHINS -9.5 (-112) or nothing in this spot.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the OVER 41.5 (-108) for a small wager as a fade of the market and to buck the recent trends.

Roughly 80% of the cash wagered is on the Under according to Pregame.com and the Yahoo! Sports app at the time of writing. This one-sided action towards the Under has steamed the total down from the 44.5-point opener.

There are a million reasons to like the Under in Jets-Dolphins, including the Under cashing in their last four meetings, but if it were that easy then everyone would make money betting sports.
