The New Mexico Lobos (2-0) head to Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, to face the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies (2-0) Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the New Mexico at Texas A&M odds and lines; check back for our college football picks and predictions.
Texas A&M needed a fourth-quarter touchdown to beat Colorado 10-7 last week. The defense was stout with just 262 total yards allowed, but the offense struggled once starting QB Haynes King left the game early. King suffered a broken ankle and is likely out until mid-October. Backup Zane Calzada went 18-for-38 with 183 yards and 1 TD in King’s absence.
New Mexico has wins over Houston Baptist and New Mexico State, but it failed to cover the spread in either of those contests. The Lobos have one of the wider offense/defense splits you’ll find. The offense has just 308 total yards combined in its first two games, but the defense has picked up the slack with 93.5 yards allowed per game and -9 total rushing yards allowed on the season.

New Mexico at Texas A&M head-to-head
This will be the fifth time the Lobos and Aggies have ever met. They most recently played in 2017 when Texas A&M won 55-14.
Texas A&M has gone Under in five of its last six games dating back to last season. They might struggle to do so here given King’s injury and New Mexico’s good start on defense.
