The Nevada Wolf Pack (9-7, 3-2 Mountain West) travel to Moby Arena Tuesday to take on the No. 22 Colorado State Rams (15-1, 5-1). Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nevada vs. Colorado State odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.
Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
Nevada is just 3-3 over its last six games, a stretch that included a 27-point loss to Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. The Wolf Pack have been one of the worst covering teams in the Mountain West. They’re 5-10 against the spread (ATS) overall and just 1-4 ATS in conference play.
Colorado State hasn’t fared much better in Mountain West games, going just 2-4 ATS. The Rams depend heavily on 6-foot-5 junior G David Roddy who averages 18.7 points per game. Roddy has hit 30 points twice this season.

Nevada at Colorado State odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Colorado State 78, Nevada 64
Money line
PASS on the money line.
The money line odds on Colorado State are too steep given how competitive conference play is, but I wouldn’t bet on the upset against a top-25 team at home. Look toward the spread for value in this Mountain West battle.
Against the spread
BET on COLORADO STATE -8.5 (-110).
Colorado State has been absolutely terrific this season. It’s led by two junior guards, so there’s experience with both the pace of college basketball and the Rams’ system.
That’s what’s helped propel them to averaging 78.6 points per game. Their strength is inside the arc where they shoot 57.8%, but their defensive play is also coming through. The Rams are also allowing the fewest two-point attempts in the Mountain West through their six conference games.
Nevada’s only top-25 matchup was a difficult one but it lost by 27 points at Kansas. The Wolf Pack also lost to Boise State at home by 15 earlier this month. They’re giving up 74.6 points per game in conference play and allow opponents to shoot 46.3% from within the arc.
CSU is going to take advantage of them and will likely win big.
Over/Under
“LEAN” to the UNDER 152.5 (-112).
I have a hard time believing in Nevada’s offense, and, as noted, CSU allows the fewest two-point field goals in conference play.
With Nevada shooting just 28.2% in conference play, it’ll have to either play to CSU’s defense strength or get hot from deep. Nevada is 7-8 O/U this season while CSU is 5-10 O/U.
