Nets at Warriors picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 112, Nets 108

Moneyline

AVOID.

The Warriors should win this game, but the line is too rich to suggest betting in favor of either team.

Against the spread

BET NETS +6.5 (-105).

The Warriors are the best home team in the NBA (17-5) and will have its starters rested. Even without Durant, the Nets will keep this game close. Brooklyn is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Golden State and are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings overall.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 234.5 (-105).

The trends for these 2 teams are a little different, but the Under seems safer here. Brooklyn’s offense has struggled without Durant and their defense has been playing surprisingly well. The under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings and 8-1 in the last 9 meetings in Golden State. While trends for the Warriors suggest that the Over is safer, the Under is the better bet for this game.

Brooklyn Nets at Golden State Warriors odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Brooklyn Nets at Golden State Warriors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (29-19) kick off a tough five-game Western Conference road trip on Saturday. Their first stop is against the Golden State Warriors (36-13), who are wrapping up a seven-game homestand. Tip-off for Saturday’s game is 8:30 p.m. ET at Chase Center. Below, we look at the Nets vs. Warriors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Nets have dropped all the way to fifth place in the Eastern Conference and have lost three games in a row. They are 6-10 in their last 16 games, but they have been great on the road, where they are 17-6, compared to 12-13 at home.

The Warriors have won four games in a row and are 5-1 in this homestand. They are coming off a 124-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night. They trail the Phoenix Suns by 3.5 games for first place in the Western Conference.

Nets at Warriors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 124, Warriors 121

Money line

The Warriors beat the Nets 117-99 in Brooklyn back on Nov. 16. They have the league’s best home record at 23-4.

Meanwhile, only the Phoenix Suns have more than the Nets’ 17 road wins this season.

Being on the road means G Kyrie Irving will get to play, pairing him and G James Harden to match up against G Stephen Curry and G Klay Thompson for the Warriors, while Durant and Green will both be out.

This could be an NBA Finals preview. This game could go either way, but I LEAN NETS (+265), partly because of the payout.

Against the spread

The Nets are 13-10 ATS on the road this season. They have struggled against the spread in recent weeks. They have covered the spread in only four of their last 16 games. They are, though, 5-5 ATS as underdogs.

The Warriors haven’t been much better against the spread. They are 5-9 ATS in their last 14 games. They are, though, 17-8-2 AT at home.

But I think the Warriors are due for an upset, especially against one of the best road teams in the league that is expected to be a Finals contender.

Take the NETS +7.5 (-120).

Over/Under

Their first matchup this season finished with only 216 points.

The Nets are fifth in the league in scoring, but the Warriors have the league’s No. 1 defensive rating.

If this game is about defense, the Warriors will win. However, if the Nets are going to win, it is because they are able to score and push the pace.

Expecting a Nets win, take OVER 229.5 (-108).

Nets at Warriors: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Nets 123, Warriors 115

Money line (ML)

The NETS (-190) are the favorites in this game as PF Kevin Durant is expected to return to the lineup. With their three superstars, the Nets are tough to beat, even despite one of the league’s worst defenses. Against a Warriors’ team that has played better of late, the Nets are still the better play.

Against the spread (ATS)

The NETS -4.5 (-105) are two-basket favorites. Brooklyn hasn’t been good against the spread over the last three weeks (4-8 ATS in its last 12 games), but the Nets haven’t really been healthy either.

Look for them to dominate in this game, and potentially win by double-digits. Warriors PG Stephen Curry will help keep this game close for a while for the Warriors but expect them to fall short.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 244.5 (-105) seems like the right play in this game on the account the projected line is one of the highest we have seen for a regular-season game in the NBA.

It is understandable as both offenses rank inside the top 10 in scoring and can put up 130 on any given night, but the Warriors have struggled on offense over their last three games, failing to score more than 114 points in any game. Look for them to approach that number Saturday, but for the Under to hit in this primetime matchup.
