The Suns failed to cover as 12-point underdogs Monday in a 136-106 loss at the Memphis Grizzlies. F Mikal Bridges scored a team-high 21 points as Phoenix lost for the 12th time in 14 games. The Suns have the 10th-best home record at 14-7. F Cameron Johnson (knee) is probable to return to the lineup Thursday after being out for more than 2 months.

Nets at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 117, Nets 107

Moneyline

BET SUNS (+130).

The Nets have not proven they can win since losing Durant. While the Suns have struggled without Booker, Phoenix pulled off an impressive win as a 12.5-point underdog 125-113 at the Golden State Warriors Jan. 10 on TNT. Phoenix’ backup guards should come out extra motivated in this spot to impress once again on national TV, this time vs. a vulnerable Nets team.

Against the spread

PASS.

There is no need to buy the extra 3.5 points on the Suns when Phoenix should win straight up. Bet the moneyline or total instead.

Over/Under

BET OVER 220.5 (-110).

The Over is 6-1 in the Suns’ last 7 games vs. teams with a winning record and 10-2 in the last 12 meetings between these 2 teams in Phoenix. The Over is 3-1 in the Suns’ last 4 games and Thursday’s meeting should be another high-scoring matchup.

Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (29-20) continue their Western Conference road swing  Tuesday when they face the red-hot Phoenix Suns (40-9). Tip-off is 10 p.m. ET at Footprint Center. Below, we look at the Nets vs. Suns odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Nets have dropped four straight games and have fallen to sixth place in the Eastern Conference. They suffered a 110-106 loss Saturday to the Golden State Warriors when they were without both F Kevin Durant and G James Harden.

The Suns are the No. 1 team in the league and have won 10 straight games. They have only one loss since the start of 2022. They are playing without two starters in the frontcourt, but G Devin Booker is averaging 31.7 points per game over the last 11 games and G Chris Paul was named Western Conference Player of the Week. In his last six games, he is averaging 20.3 points and 12.8 assists.

Nets at Suns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 114, Nets 108

Money line

PASS on the money line. The Suns are playing extremely well despite the absence of Ayton and Crowder. The play of C JaVale McGee and Bismack Biyombo at center has been great in Ayton’s absence, while both Booker and Paul have been outstanding.

While the Nets have been much better on the road (17-7) than at home (12-13), they have lost their last two away from home.

It isn’t worth any play on the Suns with the line what it is. Get more value from the spread and total.

Against the spread

The Nets covered the spread against the Warriors Saturday but are only 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games. They lost by six at home to the Suns Nov. 27.

The Suns had to come back from 12 down to beat the San Antonio Spurs  Sunday but failed to cover the spread. They are 6-4 ATS in their 10-game winning streak.

This will come down to Harden’s availability. The Suns will hold up in the frontcourt and will have a clear advantage in the backcourt if Harden is out. If he plays, it will stay pretty even.

Take the NETS +6.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Nets have had four of their last eight games finish with totals of 226 or more.

The total was 220 in their first matchup this season.

The Suns’ last 13 games have only surpassed 225 points three times.

Take UNDER 226.5 (-112).

Nets at Suns: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Suns 125, Nets 120

Money line (ML)

The Suns have won six games in a row, and nine of their last 10, as they wrap up their homestand. The Nets have won three in a row. They will play in front of 3,000 fans in Phoenix as Nets head coach Steve Nash returns to where he was a two-time MVP. The Nets have struggled a bit on the road, going 6-7, while the Suns, thanks to a seven-game home winning streak, are 10-4 on their home court. G Devin Booker was recently named the Western Conference Player of the Week, and the Suns are fully healthy. Take the SUNS -150.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Suns have been very reliable as an ATS bet. They have the second-highest cover percentage in the league at 65.4%. They have covered the spread in every single win. They have failed to cover the spread in every loss. The Nets are 13-16 ATS. The Suns are a league-best 9-2 ATS as home favorites and a league-best 3-1 ATS with a rest advantage — The Nets are playing the second of a back-to-back while Phoenix had Monday off. The Nets have not covered the spread in either of the previous two road games in which they were underdogs. Take the SUNS -3.5 (-105).

Over/Under (O/U)

Thanks to the league’s best offense and third-worst scoring defense, the Nets have been nearly a lock on the total this season. Their Over percentage is 72.4%, and their games have gone Over in eight of their last 10 games. They had a stretch of 12 consecutive games going Over the total. Phoenix is 11-15 O/U but three of their last four have gone Over. Take OVER 231.5 POINTS (-110).
