Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Brooklyn Nets (26-45) travel to take on the Toronto Raptors (23-48) Monday. Tip-off from Scotiabank Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Raptors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Tied 1-1 with each team winning at home

Brooklyn was handed a 105-93 loss by the New York Knicks Saturday while failing to cover as a 7.5-point road underdog. The Nets have been held under 100 points in 2 of their last 3 games and have lost 6 consecutive games, 5 of which coming on the road. Brooklyn has only had a player eclipse 25 points in 2 of its last 6 games.

Toronto lost 112-109 to the Washington Wizards Saturday, covering as a 6-point road underdog. Toronto hit only 8 of its 33 deep balls (24.2%) and was outrebounded 55-42. The Raptors have lost 10-straight games, failing to score 120 or more points in any of those losses and being held under 100 points 3 times during this stretch.

Nets at Raptors picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 108, Raptors 100

Moneyline

PASS.

Both of these teams are bad and both are among the coldest teams in basketball right now, but I like the Nets (-215) to win as they are 7-3 in their last 10 matchups vs. Toronto. Brooklyn is not worth the risk of betting on as such a heavy favorite, so bet on the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

LEAN NETS -5 (-112).

Brooklyn has covered the spread in 7 of its last 10 meetings with Toronto and is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 matchups with the Raptors in Toronto.

This is a risky bet as Toronto has been the slightly better team ATS this season and although both teams have been cold ATS recently, the Nets should be able to cover as the Raptors are still without their best player in F Scottie Barnes.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 215 (-110).

The Under has hit in 6 consecutive games for Toronto and is 3-0 in its last 3 home games. For Brooklyn, the Under is 2-1 in its last 3 games. The Under has also been safer for both teams this season, being 36-34-1 for the Nets and 37-34 for the Raptors. The Under is also 6-1 in the last 7 Brooklyn-Toronto matchups.

Be aware that the Over is 7-3 in Brooklyn’s last 10 games overall.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (17-12) and Toronto Raptors (13-15) meet Friday at Scotiabank Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Raptors odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets covered the spread as 5.5-point favorites in a 112-100 win at the Washington Wizards Monday. F Kevin Durant finished with a game-high 30 points and team-highs in rebounds (9) and assists (6).

Brooklyn is 0-4 against the spread (ATS) in its last 4 games after winning by 11 or more points in its previous game.

The Raptors lost straight up as 5-point home favorites 124-123 vs. the Sacramento Kings Wednesday. G Fred VanVleet scored a season-high 39 points as Toronto lost its 3rd consecutive game.

The Raptors are 2-6 straight up in their last 8 games.

Toronto is 0-3 straight up and ATS vs. the Nets this season. The Nets covered as 1.5-point home favorites 114-105 vs. the Raptors in their last meeting Dec. 2.

Nets at Raptors picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 113, Nets 107

Moneyline

BET RAPTORS (+100).

The Raptors are undervalued in this spot after a late collapse vs. the Kings Wednesday. Toronto will come out extra focused Friday in an effort to end its 3-game losing streak and avoid getting swept by the Nets.

Against the spread

PASS.

There is no need to take the points with the Raptors when they should win straight up and avoid getting swept by Brooklyn. Bet Toronto ML or play the total instead.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 226.5 (-110).

The Raptors should tighten up defensively after giving up 124 points to the Kings. The Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Toronto and Friday’s matchup should be another low-scoring affair as the Raptors come out extra focused on the defensive end.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (9-8) host the Brooklyn Nets (8-10) Wednesday. Tip-off from Scotiabank Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Raptors odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets were upended 115-106 at the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday, losing outright as 8-point favorites. G Kyrie Irving led the way with 23 points on 10 of 18 shooting, while F Kevin Durant pitched in 20 points and G Ben Simmons added 11 points and 11 assists.

Brooklyn will be playing on the road for the 6th time in its last 7 games and will be playing its 4th back-to-back set of the season, having gone 1-2 over the first 3 such outings.

The Raptors fell 124-122 at the Atlanta Hawks Saturday, covering the spread as 5.5-point underdogs. F Scottie Barnes had team-highs in points (28), rebounds (11) and assists (9), but suffered a knee injury and is considered a true game decision after missing practice Tuesday.

Brooklyn won the 1st meeting 109-105 as a 2.5-point home favorite on Oct. 21.

Nets at Raptors picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 109, Nets 106

Moneyline

The Raptors (-135) are probably the correct side against a Nets team that will be playing on the road for the 9th time in its last 11 games. However, you’re better off playing the narrow spread for better value.

PASS.

Against the spread

Toronto has been dealing with a number of injuries to key players, but has still kept it competitive in recent weeks. However, if Barnes can’t go that’s a big blow to the home side. His availability to suit up Wednesday is a major factor and you may need to keep an eye on the injury reports as we edge closer to game time to decide if you want any action on this one or not.

The Raptors are not only 6-1 straight-up at Scotiabank Arena so far this season, but they’re also 5-2 ATS there with an average margin of victory of 6.4 points. Against a surely road-weary Nets team on the tail end of a back-to-back set, take the RAPTORS -2.5 (-105) — provided Barnes suits up.

Over/Under

This is one of the highest totals posted in recent Nets-Raptors history, but it may be creeping up a little too high. The Nets trend toward Unders as the road team and even more so as road underdogs, and the Under is 4-1 in the last 5 head-to-head meetings between these sides in Toronto.

Toronto is already without its leading scorer with Siakam sidelined and may also be without its 5th-leading scorer if Barnes can’t go. It’s going to be trying to draw additional production out of its bench, and that should help this stay UNDER 221.5 (-110).

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (32-30) meet the Toronto Raptors (33-27) Tuesday in the second of their home-and-away back-to-back. Tip-off at Scotiabank Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nets vs. Raptors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Raptors crushed the Nets 133-97 Monday in Brooklyn without All-Star PG Fred VanVleet as 2.5-point road favorites. Since the All-Star break, Toronto is 1-2 straight up (SU) and 1-2 against the spread (ATS), while Brooklyn is also 1-2 SU and ATS.

Toronto is 16-13 SU and ATS at home while Brooklyn is 19-13 SU and 17-15 ATS on the road. The Nets are 2-1 SU and ATS versus the Raptors this season and all three Nets-Raptors meetings went Over the total.

Nets at Raptors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 112, Nets 100

Money line

PASS because Toronto should win this game handily but the Raptors (-370) is an absolute no-go.

Plus the Nets (+280) have been awful in the second of a back-to-back (2-8 SU on zero rest days) whereas the Raptors are 8-4 SU.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the RAPTORS -8.5 (-107) since the Nets +8.5 (-115) perform the worst against expectations on the second of a back-to-back.

According to CleaningTheGlass.com, Brooklyn has a minus-7.0 adjusted net rating on zero rest days (ranked 25th) but its minus-11.1 ATS margin is the worst in the NBA.

On the other hand, Toronto has a plus-3.0 adjusted net rating on the second of a back-to-back (ranked third) and a plus-4.8 ATS margin (ranked second), per CTG.

Monday’s Raptors-Nets game was decided well before the fourth quarter and Toronto was missing its only All-Star. If VanVleet is active for Tuesday’s meeting, the Raptors could get another 15-plus-point victory over the Nets.

I’d BET the RAPTORS -8.5 (-107) ASAP because if Toronto announces VanVleet in its starting 5 then this number could go north of -10.

Over/Under

All the trends point to this game going Over so, naturally, we should BET the UNDER 218.5 (-110).

Also, the Raptors shot out of their minds against the Nets Monday (51.5% from the field) and are due for some regression. And how does Brooklyn get quality shots against an aggressive, feisty and dynamic Toronto defense?

The Nets committed 22 turnovers Monday and Toronto has the highest defensive turnover rate in the league. I expect the Raptors to continue to shut down a Nets’ offense that doesn’t have an identity without their stars.

For the record, the UNDER 218.5 (-110) is my favorite wager in the Nets-Raptors contest.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (6-3) will take a trip to the Scotiabank Arena to take on the Toronto Raptors (6-4) Sunday. Tip is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nets at Raptors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

After rough starts to the season, both teams have been surging recently.

The Nets have won four straight, defeating their opponents by 6 or more points in each outing. Brooklyn is led by former MVP F Kevin Durant, who is averaging 28.3 points per game (PPG).

Brooklyn has five players averaging double figures. KD will have his hands full with rising star F OG Anunoby, who has helped keep the Raptors above .500 without All-Star F Pascal Siakam.

Siakam is likely to make his season debut at home against Brooklyn. Rookie F Scottie Barnes and veteran G Fred VanVleet have also had impactful roles for the Raptors.

Nets at Raptors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 107, Nets 104

Money line

BET RAPTORS (+125) as they should be able to hold down the Nets’ two most lethal talents. Former MVP James Harden is hitting his stride, but the Raptors are going to have the bodies to toss at both Harden and Durant.

Barnes, Anunoby and Siakam all stand between 6-foot-7 and 6-foot-9 and all also have a 7-foot-2 to 7-foot-3 wingspan. In the backcourt, the Raptors have defensive-minded VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr.

The Raptors have the seventh-best defensive rating and third-best rebounding percentage. They rank No. 1 in offensive rebounding rate. They should be able to expose the Nets on the glass, and they have the length to throw off the Nets’ two stars.

Despite their top-tier scorers, the Nets rank outside the top 20 in offensive rating. I expect a quality defensive team with solid rebounding to out-perform the team that’s yet to show their true upside.

Combine all those reasons, and I’m taking the Raptors.

Against the spread

“LEAN” RAPTORS +3.5 (-112) if you’d rather have a little extra cushion. However, as noted, if the Nets do come out on top, they’ve consistently beat teams by at least half a dozen points.

While I think that trend changes, I’d rather have the value on the money line than with the points for all the reasons above.

Over/Under

BET OVER 207.5 (-112) as the stars should stand out Sunday.

Harden is starting to figure out how to contribute. In the last four games he’s played, Harden has either had a double-double with points and assists or more than 25 points.

Also, the Nets are shooting a tad under 37 percent from 3. Last season, with many of the same personnel, they were above 39 percent. This team can get going offensively.

With Anunoby, Barnes, and Siakam on the other side, the trio of forwards can put points on the board as well. The Nets are just 1-8 on the total which will undoubtedly aid sportsbooks’ reasoning for dropping their total so low.

Per pregame, the line kicked off at 211, suggesting the public is going with the Under. We’ll need to wait to see that data fill out, but right now, it seems like a strong play against the public with the Over.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Toronto Raptors (26-35) go for back-to-back wins Tuesday when they play host to the Brooklyn Nets (41-20) at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Tip-off will be shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Nets-Raptors odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors dumped the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-96 Monday and easily covered the spread as 11.5-point favorites on home court. The Under (212) also connected.

It was Toronto’s fifth win in its last six games as it remains 12th in the Eastern Conference and on the brink of the play-in picture.

The Nets were off Monday following a 128-119 win over the visiting Phoenix Suns Sunday. They covered the spread as 1-point favorites and the Over (231.5) cashed with ease.

Brooklyn won back-to-back games following a 114-103 loss to the Raptors Wednesday.

Toronto is up 2-0 in the season series against the East’s first-place team. The Raptors covered the spread as 5.5-point underdogs and as 4.5-point favorites.

Nets at Raptors: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Nets 118, Raptors 108

Money line (ML)

There has been some early line movement toward the Raptors but it’s not yet enough to back the Nets (-250) at the above-listed price.

Anything cheaper than -200 would warrant a play on the visitors.

PASS.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Raptors beat the San Antonio Spurs 117-112 on the second night of their latest back-to-back set, but they’re still a league-worst 2-11 straight up on no rest and 5-9 ATS with a minus-4.6 margin against the line when playing with a rest disadvantage.

These trends matter in this instance because the Raptors have frequently been resting key starters, including PG Kyle Lowry in the second half of back-to-backs.

Additionally, Nets SF Kevin Durant hasn’t yet played a full game against the Raps this season, and he’s coming off a 33-point performance against the Suns Sunday.

He’ll be the difference and is the reason to back the NETS -6 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

Bet the UNDER 232.5 (-105), as that’s the way the line has shifted Tuesday morning.

The last head-to-head contest fell 15 points below a 232-point line. Even with Durant playing Tuesday, there should be enough cushion on a nearly identical line.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Brooklyn Nets (39-19) visit the Toronto Raptors (24-34) Wednesday for a 7 p.m. ET tip-off at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Below, we analyze the Nets-Raptors odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets are second in the Eastern Conference. They’re coming off a 134-129 road win over the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday but are battling injuries with SG James Harden (hamstring) ruled out of Wednesday’s contest and SF Kevin Durant (thigh) questionable after missing Tuesday’s game.

The Raptors are 12th in the East but just a half-game out of 10th for the final spot in the conference’s postseason play-in tournament. Toronto has won a rare three straight games, all at home, by margins of 5, 11 and 6 points.

The Raptors beat the Nets 123-117 in their lone head-to-head meeting so far this season (Feb. 5). They’ll play again Tuesday in Tampa.

Prediction

Raptors 117, Nets 113

Money line (ML)

The RAPTORS (-140) are as healthy as they’ve been in the second half of the season and are playing some of their best basketball of the entire 2020-21 campaign. They can match a season-best four-game win streak with a win Wednesday.

The Nets are shorthanded and playing the second half of a back-to-back. They’re 6-5 straight up when playing on no rest this season but have a minus-1.2 point scoring margin in those games.

Back the more motivated Raptors with playoff seeding not much of a concern for Brooklyn.

The better value is with backing the RAPTORS -2.5 (-110) to win by at least 3 points.

They beat the Nets by 6 points earlier this season in a game in which Durant entered late and left early due to health and safety protocols, but Harden and Irving were both full participants and combined for a meager 32 points.

Toronto is just 4-7 ATS with a rest advantage but has won those games by an average of 4.6 points.

Over/Under (O/U)

A slight lean to the OVER 227.5 (-110) even with Brooklyn’s wounded stars.

The Raptors hit the Over in two of their last three victories and the Nets are 6-2 O/U in their last eight games.

Toronto is back up to 43.7% shooting from 3-point range during its win streak and the Nets are right behind (43.0%) over the same stretch.
