The Brooklyn Nets (25-37) travel to take on the Detroit Pistons (9-52) Thursday. Tip-off from Little Caesars Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Pistons odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Brooklyn leads 2-0, winning a game at home and on the road

Brooklyn picked up a 112-107 home win over the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday, covering as a 1-point favorite. F Dorian Finney-Smith and G Dennis Schroder scored 20 points each and G Lonnie Walker IV added 19 points off the bench in the victory. Brooklyn has won 3 of its last 4 games.

Detroit lost at the Miami Heat Tuesday 118-110 but covered as an 11-point underdog. Detroit shot only 28.6% (12 of 42) from deep, while Miami hit 45.2% (14 of 31) from long range. The Pistons have lost 3 consecutive games and 9 of their last 10.

Nets at Pistons picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 111, Pistons 109

Moneyline

BET NETS (-138).

Brooklyn has won 3 consecutive matchups vs. Detroit and is 9-1 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings.

As mentioned, the Nets are 3-1 in their last 4 games, while the Pistons are 1-9 in their last 10.

Detroit is also an awful 4-25 at home this season, including 0-4 in its last 4 home games.

Against the spread

PASS, but I could see backing Detroit +2.5 (-110) due to recent trends.

Detroit has covered the spread in 4 of its last 6 games, is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 matchups vs. Brooklyn and is 6-4 ATS in the last 10 in the Nets series.

The Pistons are just a bit better ATS (31-30) than the Nets (28-31-3).

Detroit +2.5 (-110) would be a very slight lean since the series has been mostly even in recent matchups and both teams’ ATS records are similar.

Over/Under

BET OVER 216 (-112).

The Over has hit in back-to-back games for the Nets and is 3-1 in their last 4. For Detroit, the Over hit in its last outing and is 32-28-1 this season.

More impressive is that the Over has also hit in 7 consecutive Brooklyn-Detroit matchups and is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.

However, be warned. The Under has been dominant for the Pistons lately, going 9-1 in their last 10.

Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (43-36) are set to face the Detroit Pistons (16-63) on Wednesday at Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Pistons odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

On Tuesday, the Nets lost 107-102 to the Minnesota Timberwolves and failed to cover as 2.5-point home underdogs. Brooklyn is 1 game ahead of the Miami Heat for the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons lost 118-105 to the Heat on Tuesday despite covering as 13.5-point home favorites. Detroit has lost 10 games in a row and owns the worst record in the NBA.

This will be the 3rd meeting between the teams this season. Brooklyn and Detroit split the 1st 2 meetings and the Over hit in both games.

Nets at Pistons picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 117, Pistons 105

Moneyline

PASS.

While the Nets should secure the win on the road, I wouldn’t advise taking them straight up with the lack of profit you’d receive if they get the victory.

Against the spread

NETS -10.5 (-110) is the pick in this game with both teams playing on a back-to-back. The Pistons have lost 10 straight games and have lost 8 of those games by 12-plus points.

Detroit is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 220.5 (-110).

The Nets play at the 9th slowest pace in the league, but they’ve scored 123-plus points in 3 of their last 6 games. Detroit also boasts the 3rd-worst defensive rating in the NBA this season.

The Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Detroit.

Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (18-12) and Detroit Pistons (8-23) meet Sunday at Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Pistons odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets covered the spread as 1-point favorites 119-116 at the Toronto Raptors Friday. G Kyrie Irving scored a team-high 32 points, including a step-back 3-pointer as time expired to win the game.

Brooklyn is 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in its last 7 head-to-head meetings vs. Detroit.

The Pistons failed to cover as 6.5-point underdogs 122-113 vs. the Sacramento Kings Friday. Detroit led by 8 at halftime but gave up a 28-8 run to start the 3rd quarter.

The Pistons are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games after failing to cover in their previous game.

Nets at Pistons picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 120, Pistons 119

Moneyline

PASS.

Brooklyn (-290) should win, but I wouldn’t recommend betting almost 3 times your potential profit on a team coming off of such an emotional win. Bet the spread or the total instead.

Against the spread

BET PISTONS +6.5 (+100).

The Pistons are a great bounce-back team and should look much better Sunday vs. Brooklyn. The Nets are due for a let-down game after erasing an 18-point deficit and winning on a buzzer beater to sweep the season series against the Raptors.

Detroit doesn’t usually underperform 2 games in a row. The last time Detroit failed to cover (or push) after an ATS loss was a 112-88 loss vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers Nov. 4. Take the points.

Over/Under

BET OVER 230.5 (-105).

The Over is 4-1 in Detroit’s last 5 home games. The Under hit vs. the Kings Friday, but both teams still combined for 235 points. The Pistons are 30th in the NBA in defensive efficiency at home and should help the Over hit Sunday in Detroit.

Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (18-8) travel to Little Caesars Arena Sunday to take on the Detroit Pistons (4-21). Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nets vs. Pistons odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Coming off a win over the Hawks on Friday night, the Nets will be playing the last of their four-game road trip. With a win, they’ll head back home with a 3-1 road trip record.

That said, the Nets are 10-15-1 against the spread (ATS) this season yet are 5-5 ATS as road favorites. James Harden will be out, leaving the bulk of the scoring duties to Kevin Durant.

KD won’t have to deal with Jerami Grant who will also be out. Down their best player, the Pistons will ask No. 1 overall pick, Cade Cunningham, to handle the offensive load.

So far this season, Detroit is 12-13 ATS and 5-5 as a home underdog. The Pistons are coming off a tough 16-point loss to the Pelicans.

Nets at Pistons odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 107, Pistons 101

Money line

PASS on the money line. The Nets without two of their three best players at -320 isn’t worth any wager. The Pistons do have nice value at +250, but I’d rather take the points.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the PISTONS +7.5 (-122) as the better pick on the spread. A Sunday game at the end of a road trip without your second-best scorer seems like a trap game for the Nets.

Additionally, while the Nets have the fifth-best defensive rating this season, over the last three games, all of which have been on the road for Brooklyn, it ranks 13th.

The Pistons aren’t necessarily a great team, but without Grant, they may actually get more efficient. Grant is shooting just 41.4% on the season, helping make Detroit the second-most inefficient team in the league.

Riding an 11-game losing streak, the Pistons need to stay competitive in this one. They’ve been better at home and should be able to cover.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 211.5 (-107) as the Nets could play sloppy basketball to end this road trip.

Coming off a big-time win in Atlanta, the Nets are primed for a trap game, especially on a Sunday. Without their second top scorer, I expect them to struggle offensively. Durant, over his last five games, is 4-or-20 from three.

Similarly, the Pistons are without their top scorer and are already one of the worst shooting teams in the league. They also rank 23rd in turnover rate, so it may be difficult to hang onto the ball.

Put it all together, and the Under feels like the better play.

Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Brooklyn Nets at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (5-3) travel to the Little Caesars Arena to take on the Detroit Pistons (1-7) Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nets at Pistons odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

This will be the second night of back-to-back home games for the Pistons. Detroit will look to give its fans a better show after it lost and failed to cover the spread in a 109-98 defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday.

Detroit is led by star F Jerami Grant and No. 1 overall draft pick G Cade Cunningham. They’ll have their hands full with SF Kevin Durant and former MVP SG James Harden.

The Nets won their last three games — scoring 115 points or more in two of the three — after struggling to start the season. Preseason title favorite Brooklyn is 1-1 on the road.

Nets at Pistons odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 112, Pistons 98

Money line

PASS on the money line.

The Nets (-650) are clearly the better, deeper team and should come out on top, although risking more than six times your return is not good value. Look to the points instead.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the NETS -9.5 (-110) as Detroit has just been that bad both at home and on the road.

The Pistons just haven’t been able to hold leads this season. They looked good against a short-handed Sixers in the first half; however, they scored just 32 points in the second half.

Their guards score the second-fewest points per game, their offensive rating is dead last and their defensive rating is the fifth-worst in the league.

That’s just not a team I’m willing to put anything on despite getting nearly 10 points. The Nets are surging and their best defender will be guarding Grant. Brooklyn beat Detroit by 26 in a home game just five days ago.

I’m thinking a double-digit game is in store Friday.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 211.5 (-107) as Detroit just can’t score.

If the Nets are up big, they should take the pedal off the gas late. Despite that, the Pistons are the only team in the NBA that shoots under 40 percent from the field — they’re extremely inefficient.

The Nets still rank in the bottom half of the league for offensive rating despite their star-studded roster. They haven’t consistently throttled opponents to the level most had hoped for.

With Detroit averaging under 93 points per game over their last 3 games, the Under feels like the better play.

After two days off, the Brooklyn Nets (14-11) will visit the Detroit Pistons (5-18) Tuesday night for an Eastern Conference showdown. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. ET at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Below, we analyze the Nets-Pistons NBA odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Nets at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Nets 123, Pistons 112

Money line (ML)

The Nets are struggling of late, dropping three of their last four games. Durant missed their last game against the Philadelphia 76ers, a 124-108 loss, but they also fell to the Raptors the night before. Irving and SG James Harden were available for that game while Durant started late and was lifted in the third quarter for COVID protocols.

That being said, even without Durant Tuesday night, the Nets should have no trouble with the Pistons. Detroit has lost four in a row and eight of its last 10.

Take the NETS (-275) to win outright.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The spread has bounced between 6.5 and 7.5 points in the Nets’ favor, and either way, I like them to cover. The Pistons don’t have the scorers to keep up with the Nets’ top-ranked offense, which has averaged 121.5 points per game this season.

With Irving probable to play and Harden also set to be in the lineup, the NETS -6.5 (-110) should cover fairly easily Tuesday night.

Over/Under (O/U)

In the Nets’ last 19 games, the total has gone Over 17 times. Even as poorly as the Pistons have played of late, the Over is still 8-4 in their last 12 games.

The Nets will get back on track Tuesday night after dropping two straight and help push the total OVER 229.5 (-110) against the Pistons, who will also take advantage of Brooklyn’s struggling defense (29th in PPG).
