I’d expect Mike D’Antoni to be in the mix with Ime Udoka and Quin Snyder for Brooklyn.

Brooklyn, among other teams, has quietly done due diligence on the circumstances of Ime Udoka’s suspension in Boston, source told @SInow. With Udoka unlikely to ever return to the Celtics bench, teams have been looking into what happened. – 1:09 PM

Would Boston let Ime Udoka go to a division rival who has the talent to turn things around? The Nets will certainly try to find out. – 1:08 PM

Ime Udoka worked for the Nets as an assistant the year before the Celtics hired him. His coaching style seems to work with stars. He would make a lot of sense as a Steve Nash replacement if Brooklyn is willing to overlook the serious mess that led to his suspension in Boston. – 1:07 PM

Hey, if the Celtics are willing to throw their hands up and just let Ime Udoka walk, whatever. That’s their choice.
I wouldn’t allow it to a division rival, but Boston must really be done with that situation if they just let him leave without issue. – 1:06 PM

Jacque Vaughn is the acting head coach tonight but expect the Nets to inquire with suspended Celtics coach Ime Udoka, Quin Snyder, among others. Boston will let Udoka leave for another job. – 1:03 PM

Michael Scotto: I spoke with four NBA executives this week about the Ime Udoka situation in Boston. Each of those four executives told HoopsHype they don’t think Udoka will return as coach of the Boston Celtics after his yearlong suspension is done. Jared Weiss: That’s the consensus. I haven’t had anyone in the organization tell me they don’t think he’s coming back. I feel like they’re moving on with that expectation and that the reason for a suspension is more about whatever legal processes are happening right now rather than they genuinely want to reassess it in the future. I’m sure there is some degree of uncertainty about whether or not they would bring him back. I don’t think it’s like he’s fired, and it’s set in stone, and that’s it. I’m sure there’s some evaluation that has to be done at some point, but it seems so unlikely that he would come back. -via HoopsHype / October 6, 2022
Fresh Prince of Bel Air actress Nia Long has said little about her cheating Boston Celtics coach fiancé, Ime Udoka, but the father of her first son is all about forgiveness. ‘We talk as a family, and it’s all about unconditional love, and that’s what she’s giving him,’ Massai Z. Dorsey told DailyMail.com, sharing his thoughts on the scandal in an exclusive interview. ‘We’re sticking by him 100%.’ -via Daily Mail / October 5, 2022
Sarah Todd: Rudy Gobert said that he saw Mike Conley last night and that he considers him and Jordan Clarkson and Rudy Gay to be his friends. Tho…it’ll be weird to face a team that really isn’t his old team. “It says Utah on the jersey, but Quin’s not there and it’s different.” -via Twitter @NBASarah / October 21, 2022
