Volleyball Day in Nebraska set a world record on Wednesday evening.

Volleyball Day in Nebraska set a world record on Wednesday evening. Nebraska’s game against Nebraska-Omaha occurred in front of a crowd of 92,003 at Memorial Stadium.

The attendance broke the record for the largest crowd to watch a women’s sporting event. The previous record had been 91,648 fans in the UEFA Champions League between Barcelona and Wolfsburg.

The Huskers have sold out 306 consecutive regular season matches, but according to the University, the match in Memorial Stadium does not count toward that streak. The Huskers have led the nation in attendance every season since 2013.

Nebraska would defeat Omaha in straight sets to improve to 4-0 on the season. Find the sights from Volleyball Day in Nebraska below.
