The No. 19 Huskers began their postseason play with the Big Ten Conference quarterfinals. Nebraska played host to Ohio State for the second consecutive year, and much like last year, advanced to the semifinals.

The Huskers brought their offensive firepower in their 3-2 victory over the Buckeyes, finishing with 19 total shots with 11 on goal. The duo of Eleanor Dale and Sarah Weber acted as the driving force for Nebraska, combining for 13 shots, nine on goal and three goals.

Dale scored Nebraska’s first goal and its go-ahead goal in the second half. Weber meanwhile shot the team’s second goal. Ohio State’s two goals came from just five shots on goal in the match.

Dale’s two goals now bring her to a season total of 25, which places her in second in school history, behind Kim Engesser. Dale is also now sixth in school history for career goals with 43.

Nebraska will travel to Columbus, Ohio for the semifinals and will either face Rutgers or Wisconsin on Thursday. No time has been determined, but the match can be viewed on Big Ten Network.
