The Nebraska Cornhuskers will host a class of 2026 offensive linemen this weekend. Deacon Schmitt will visit the Lincoln campus on July 27.

Schmitt is a 6-foot-5, 290 offensive tackle from Windsor High School in Windsor, CO. He will take a visit to Oklahoma two days prior to his visit with the Cornhuskers.

The prospect earned a scholarship offer from Nebraska after performing well in a Husker-run football camp in Lincoln last month. Offensive line coach Donovan Raiola extended the offer.

Nebraska currently does not hold any commitments to the class of 2026. However, a flurry of recent offers has taken place as the 2025 cycle winds down, heading into the 2024 college football season.

Dunnigan will be in Lincoln on July 27 to meet new defensive backs coach John Butler.

Butler is taking over for Evan Cooper, who resigned last week for personal reasons. The new Cornhusker coach is excited to continue his career at Nebraska.

The 6-foot-2 Dunnigan is currently considering Nebraska, Kansas State, Kansas, and Colorado State.

Douglas Utu is an interior offensive lineman and member of the class of 2025.

A five-star offensive line prospect will officially visit the Nebraska campus this weekend. Douglas Utu is an interior offensive lineman and member of the class of 2025.

Utu currently plays for Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the No. 2 player in Nevada for the class of 2025 and the No. 3 interior offensive lineman nationwide.

The prospect has already received an offer to play in the 2025 Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu at Kamehameha High School. Utu holds 12 scholarship offers from schools such as Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Oklahoma.

Utu’s visit to Lincoln is expected to take place this weekend.

A safety from Hawaii has set his official visit schedule.

A safety from Hawaii has set his official visit schedule. Aiden Manutai of Kahuku, Hawaii, will visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers on June 14 for an official visit.

The three-star prospect is also scheduled to visit Penn State on June 7 and Washington on June 21. Current projections from multiple recruiting services have the Cornhuskers projected as a favorite for the defensive back’s services.

Nebraska’s class of 2025 holds only three commitments. Those three players are defensive lineman Tyson Terry, athlete Caden VerMaas, and running back Conor Booth.
