Nebraska’s new co-offensive coordinator speaks to media

Nebraska’s new co-offensive coordinator has spoken to the media for the first time since arriving in Lincoln.

Nebraska’s new co-offensive coordinator has spoken to the media for the first time since arriving in Lincoln. Glenn Thomas spoke with the Husker Radio Network earlier this week.

Thomas is joining the program as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He is joining the Cornhuskers after spending the previous season as an offensive assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The new addition to the staff will be taking over the quarterback coach’s position from offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield. Satterfield will now become the team’s tight ends coach on top of remaining the team’s offensive coordinator, replacing position coach Josh Martin.

Thomas and Rhule have a history of working together, as the two previously spent time at Baylor and Temple. He was most recently the offensive coordinator at UNLV from 2020-21 and Arizona State in 2022.

As we reported earlier in the week, a former Nebraska football player will be playing in the Super Bowl. Randy Gregory and the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gregory saw limited action in Sunday evening’s NFC Championship game. He recorded two tackles in the Niners 34-31 win against the Detroit Lions. For the 2023-24, he has recorded 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Gregory played for Nebraska for only two seasons. In 24 games during the 2013 and 2014 seasons as a Husker, he recorded 120 total tackles, 29.0 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks.

He was a two-time All-Big Ten first-team member and a third-team All-American in 2014. The Jacksonville native would be selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys.

Super Bowl LVIII will take place on Sunday, February 11, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can find a photo gallery of Randy Gregory’s career below.

Ellis was very productive in his freshman season for Crowley, recording 36 receptions for 719 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games. Thanks to his strong freshman season, the Texas native has already received offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech, UNLV, and UTSA.
