A Nebraska women’s basketball signee has been named one of the top 25 players in the nation. Britt Prince has been named to the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Girl’s High School Midseason Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Prince is currently a senior point guard at Elkhorn High School. She was the Gatorade and Max Preps Nebraska Player of the Year in 2023, averaging 24.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
The future Husker has helped Elkhorn North to three consecutive state championships. She made headlines back on January 6 when she scored 42 points against No. 2 ranked Omaha Skutt, 71-53.
Nebraska is one of just 12 schools nationally with a player signed/committed on the Naismith Trophy Girl’s High School Player of the Year Midseason Team. The Huskers join South Carolina, UConn, UCLA, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Texas, Notre Dame, NC State and Duke.
