NBA releases broadcast details for three Houston Rockets scrimmages

Two of Houston’s three scrimmages within the next week will be shown live on NBATV, while the third can be streamed at rockets.com.

With the NBA’s restart just days away, the league on Tuesday updated the schedule on its official website with television and radio broadcast information for all upcoming scrimmages.

For the Houston Rockets, scrimmages are set for Friday night against Toronto; Sunday versus Memphis; and Tuesday against Boston.

Friday’s opener versus the Raptors tips off at 6:30 p.m. Central, and the NBA’s website indicates that it will be carried live on NBA TV. The same NBA TV indication is there for Sunday’s second scrimmage against the Grizzlies, which tips off at 7:00 p.m. Central.

Meanwhile, next Tuesday’s scrimmage finale versus Boston — which tips off at 7:00 p.m. Central — can be streamed at Houston’s official team website of rockets.com. All three games can also be listened to via SportsTalk 790, the team’s flagship radio station in Houston.

The scrimmages at the NBA “bubble” in Florida are leading up to the resumption of the 2019-20 regular season later next week. Houston’s schedule of “seeding” games starts July 31 versus Dallas, with all eight games broadcast via local television partner AT&T SportsNet Southwest. At least six games will also be shown on national outlets, as well.

The schedule for the 2020 NBA playoffs, which will begin in mid-August, has yet to be released. In recent years, all playoff games are available nationally, with the first round also shown via local TV partners.
