NBA preseason schedule announced, Kyrie Irving set to see Celtics

Brooklyn fans should get a chance to see Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving play together as members of the Nets midway through December.

The NBA announced its preseason schedule for the 2020-21 season, and the Brooklyn Nets are only slated to play a pair of games before the regular season kicks off.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s first chance to take the floor together as members of the Brooklyn Nets comes on Sunday, December 13 at 6 p.m. against the Washington Wizards, two days after the preseason kicks off league-wide.

Five days after the Nets host the Wizards, they are scheduled to take a trip to Boston to play against the Celtics, Irving’s old team, on Friday, December 18 a 7:30 p.m.

The Nets also announced both of their preseason games will be broadcast on YES Network. The team also disclosed the following:

“Barclays Center will be following New York State guidelines to determine when fans can return to games. Current guidelines do not permit fans.”

The Los Angeles Lakers will play their final preseason game today against the Washington Wizards in the bubble at Orlando.

The NBA is back and this week we’ll have the final preseason games on television before NBA Opening Day on Thursday, July 30th. This will be the  Lakers last and final scrimmage when they take on the Washington Wizards in Orlando.

Anthony Davis is recovering from a poke in the eye on Saturday and we’re not sure yet if LeBron James will suit up or rest before their opening game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

NBA Opening Day is Thursday with two games on the slate including Zion and the Pelicans taking on the NBA Champion, Toronto Raptors in the first game. With the Los Angeles rivalry completing the night with Clippers taking on LeBron’s Lakers.
