Considering the odds, take Denver to win this game and extend the series Saturday night.

Line/Against the spread (ATS)

The NUGGETS (+5, -110) are two-basket underdogs to the Lakers on Saturday night in Game 5. Denver has been incredible against the spread as of late, covering or pushing in 12 of their last 15 contests. You can make a strong case Denver should be up 2-1 if not for a last-second 3-pointer make by Lakers PF Anthony Davis in Game 2. The Nuggets are clearly talented and can compete with the Lakers.

Given the odds, take Denver to steal Game 4 and even this series at 2-2.

Line/Against the spread (ATS)

The NUGGETS +6 (-110) are two-basket underdogs against the Lakers Thursday night. Denver has covered the spread in five of its last six games with the only failed cover happening in Game 1 of this series.

Los Angeles has failed to cover the spread in six of their last nine games against Denver and this one will likely be no different. Expect a close game throughout, but for Denver to ultimately win and cover the spread.

The Lakers have won six-straight games and are the clear favorites to win the NBA Championship at -304 odds. If Denver can get this game, we suddenly have a series. Look for the Nuggets to steal Game 3 to get this series to 2-1.

Line/Against the spread (ATS)

The NUGGETS +6.5 (-110) are three-basket underdogs. Denver has covered the spread in four of its last five games with the only miss happening in Game 1 of this series. Expect this to be a back-and-forth game that is likely decided in the final minute with foul shooting.

Considering how large this spread is, don’t be afraid to take the Nuggets here if the moneyline bet feels too risky.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Game 3 match up is set at 213.5 points, which feels about right considering the pace of the first two games. The Lakers scored 126 in Game 1, but were held to only 105 in Game 2. Don’t expect as many points to be scored in this game as in Game 1, but for the OVER 214.5 (-110) to hit in Game 2.

The Clippers (-334) ‘should’ win, but the Nuggets (+260) have miraculously forced their way into a Game 7 for the second straight playoffs series and there are no guarantees.

Betting favorites straight up at anything more than -170 to -180 is just poor gambling and amateur hour, AVOID.

Line/Against the spread (ATS)

The NUGGETS +7.5 (-110) are the play here, but that hinges on the health of “The Blue Arrow”. If Murray is unable to go, that’s obviously a huge difference; however, he is likely to power through his nagging injury.

The Clippers have never been to the Western Conference Finals in franchise history, and it appears the nerves of being on the precipice of history has really gotten the best of them. They should be able to shake off the pesky Nuggs, but it’s not a good idea to bet the favorite here, especially since Denver is a perfect 5-0 straight up in elimination games this postseason.

Over/Under (O/U)

Play UNDER 207.5 (-110) very lightly. Officially the Under is 4-0-2 in this series. In Game 7 against the Utah Jazz, the Nuggets and Jazz combined for just 158 points. Don’t expect that much defense and poor shooting, but we should see another lower-scoring battle.
