Notre Dame obliterates Navy from ranks of the unbeaten

Notre Dame walloped Navy at MetLife Stadium

Notre Dame won its sixth straight game in emphatic fashion, thumping Navy, 51-14 at Met Life Stadium on Saturday.

The Fighting Irish scored in double figures in each of the first three quarters and put up 466 yards of total offense.

Navy came into the game ranked 24th and unbeaten. It never stood a chance against Notre Dame, falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter.

The Midshipmen had six turnovers, losing five fumbles.

After two games against schools from the ACC, Notre Dame will play Army on Nov. 23 at Yankee Stadium. Army is also undefeated.

 

Army, Navy each improve to 5-0

Army and Navy are on a collision course … much later in the season.

The service academies are each 5-0 after wins on Saturday. It marks the first time since 1943 both the Cadets and Middies have started at 5-0 since 1943.

Navy trounced Air Force, 34-7, in a clash of service academies.

Meanwhile Army walloped Tulsa, 49-7. Bryson Daily threw for two scores and ran for two. Kanye Udoh had 137 yards and two touchdown runs on six carries.

The school with the longest win streak in the country? Army at nine games.
