MSU RB declares for 2025 NFL Draft, forgoing his final year of eligibility

In the midst of the roster turmoil that is surrounding college football with the NCAA transfer portal, there is still a ton of decisions for players to make in regards to the NFL draft. One Spartan has made the decision to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Nathan Carter has made the decision to declare for the NFL draft after just two seasons in East Lansing, following his transfer from UConn. He had one year of eligibility remaining.

In his two seasons in East Lansing, Carter carried the ball 301 times for 1,297 yards and 9 touchdowns, while catching 40 passes for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was a captain for the Spartans in 2024.

The Spartans will look to the transfer portal to replace Carter.
