The new Naraka Bladepoint hero is a rebellious cat man

24 Entertainment unveiled the newest Naraka Bladepoint hero, and this time, it’s a cat man with rebellious streak

24 Entertainment unveiled the newest Naraka Bladepoint hero, and this time, it’s Akos Hu a cat man with rebellious streak. The multiplayer game’s newest playable character is available to unlock now and brings a powerful blend of assault and defense to the field.

Akos Hu’s main skill is Roar, where he summons the might of his inner tiger and lets loose a mighty blast of energy. It harms enemies and also reduces incoming damage. If he hits more than one foe, then he gets additional damage reduction, making him an excellent choice for frontline attacks where other heroes might get overwhelmed.

Roar also has a “blast” variant that deals additional damage and can launch enemies skyward.

Akos Hu’s second skill is Feral Frenzy. He summons a spectral tiger and can leap further, perform a jump attack, shred enemies, and attack several times with the deadly feline’s powerful claws.

Akos Hu joins as part of the Season of Untamed Treasure. While this particular season doesn’t introduce new modes as 24 Entertainment did earlier in the year, it does add a cache of new divinely-inspired costumes for some of the game’s most popular characters. 24 Entertainment promised even more big plans in store for the rest of 2023 as well.

Naraka Bladepoint is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

New Naraka Bladepoint character will launch ahead of NieR crossover

A new Naraka Bladepoint character is coming soon, as 24 Entertainment gears up for a crossover with the battle royale and NieR Automata

24 Entertainment is bringing a new Naraka Bladepoint character to the multiplayer game ahead of the newly-announced collaboration between Naraka Bladepoint and NieR. The news comes amid a flurry of announcements about what to expect from the popular game in the next few months, including a new weapon and an expansion to Naraka’s PvE mode.

The new character is Feria Shen, a master of mechs and weapons who summons robotic companions to trample foes underfoot. Feria Shen will join the roster on Dec. 22, 2022. If you’re looking for more ways to shake up your game, you can try out the new Pole Staff in February 2023, a heavy melee weapon inspired by Guan Yu, the Chinese god of war. The Pole Staff’s souljade can even summon Guan Yu’s trusty steed to help turn the tide of battle.

At some other, as-yet unspecified, point in the future, 24 Entertainment is working with Yoko Taro and Square Enix on a Naraka Bladepoint and NieR crossover featuring characters, items, weapons, and more inspired by NieR Automata and NieR Replicant. Expect more details in the coming months, but for now, check out the teaser trailer above.

In January, Showdown PvE mode gets a new chapter, which sees you and a group of others challenge Viper Ning’s fearsome mother at the Yushan Ruins.

Over $1 million is up for grabs at the ‘Naraka: Bladepoint’ World Championships

The next battle royale esports spectacle is coming.

Naraka: Bladepoint is about to go big with its esports scene, as developer 24 Entertainment just announced its World Championships, complete with a prize pool of $1.5 million.

The inaugural Naraka: Bladepoint World Championships (NBWC) will go down early next year. There are no dates or location information about the competitions just yet, which is a bit odd, but hey — with that much cash on the line, 24 Entertainment must believe in Naraka: Bladepoint’s  esports potential. Plus, planning big LAN tournaments these days is tough.

Top-ranked players will compete in regional qualifier tournaments that will lead to global finals later on. North American players will fight for the Morus Cup, while players in South East Asia will battle it out for the Celestra Cup. Other regions have yet to get a tournament announcement — but that info is coming soon.

While Naraka: Bladepoint is still the new kid on the battle royale block and isn’t as popular as Fortnite, most everyone that gives the game a shot loves its high-flying martial arts melee brawls. Kyle Campbell, some critic I’ve never heard of, was a big fan.

“If you fancy a challenging battle royale free of build wars and machine guns,” Campbell said via IGN. “Naraka: Bladepoint provides a genuinely clever spin on the genre’s familiar formula.”

Again, not sure I trust this guy, but maybe the Naraka: Bladepoint World Championships will prove him right.
