For the second time this week, the LSU Tigers have lost a commitment from a player in the 2021 recruiting class.
Earlier this week, it was three-star defensive tackle, Anthony Hundley.
On Thursday, four-star defensive end Naquan Brown backed off his pledge to the defending national champions.
Brown, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive end from Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, committed to LSU back on July 1. He originally picked the Tigers over Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech, among others.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Brown was the No. 216 prospect nationally.

After Brown’s decommitment, LSU’s 2021 recruiting class still stands at No. 3 overall. The Tigers have commitments from 20 players, including three defensive ends.
The Tigers remain in the mix for several elite prospects such as Korey Foreman, Maason Smith and Tristan Leigh. Therefore, head coach Ed Orgeron and his staff were beginning to worry about having enough space in the 2021 class.
The early signing period begins on Dec. 16.
