Twitter reacts to icicles growing on Chiefs HC Andy Reid’s mustache

Twitter shared its thoughts about the icicles growing on the mustache of #Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

The Kansas City Chiefs are playing against the Miami Dolphins in sub-zero temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium tonight, and fans have been documenting the absolutely brutal weather conditions on social media all day.

While snow isn’t playing a factor in the game, the exceedingly cold air has made life difficult for players on the field and made the viewing experience less than comfortable for those in attendance.

One of the more comical aspects of the night’s events is happening right under Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s nose. The decorated skipper’s signature mustache has been growing literal icicles on Kansas City’s frigid sideline, and users on Twitter made a point to comment about his cartoonish look while watching the Saturday night matchup.

While the Chiefs are heading into halftime with a two-score lead over Miami, the condition of Reid’s cookie broom is starting to dominate the discourse about the game online.

Check out some of Twitter’s top reactions to Reid’s remarkable frozen facial hair:

Kirk Cousins rocked a new handlebar mustache on Vikings sideline, and NFL fans loved it

Kirk Cousins is now the proud owner of a handlebar mustache.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins debuted a brand-new mustache at his team’s preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, and it was a doozy.

Cousins sported the handlebar mustache look, once popularized by professional wrestler Hulk Hogan. The mustache is Cousins’ most pronounced facial hair choice of his career, and it absolutely caught everyone’s attention as he showed it off on the sideline.

Does he pull it off? It is just way, way too much for someone like Cousins to sport such a bold mustache choice? Do you now want a handlebar mustache? All thoughts are valid on Cousins’ new ‘stache.

This was quite a surprise for Vikings fans to see their QB1 sporting such a look, and perhaps it will embolden him on the field to get the Vikings as far as possible this NFL season.

With the handlebar mustache, anything is possible.

As you can imagine, NFL fans had plenty of thoughts about Cousins’ brand-new look.

Cameron Jordan’s latest Saints headshot quickly goes viral on social media

Cameron Jordan’s latest Saints headshot quickly went viral on social media. Jordan jokes he’s preparing for either a music career or a fashion runway:

Cameron Jordan has a history of eccentric headshots — the New Orleans Saints defensive end’s piratical 2019 mustache will live forever — and his 2023 official team photo again hit its mark. Jordan’s newest experiment features a chinstrap beard and pencil-thin mustache as his latest foray into facial hair.

Of course it went viral on social media right away to a mix of admiration and derision. Jordan joked that he’s either preparing to release his first R&B album or hit the runway as a male fashion model. His new braids are a clean addition, too, in a nod to NBA legend Allen Iverson. How’s that for a fun milestone in Jordan’s own Hall of Fame-worthy career?

LOOK: Chiefs players celebrate ‘Mustache Mondays’ at training camp

Some #Chiefs players styled their facial hair for #MustacheMondays at training camp.

Some Kansas City Chiefs players were sporting some new facial hair styles at training camp on Monday.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce seems to be leading the charge, getting a number of his teammates to celebrate what he describes as “Mustache Mondays.”

“Woohoo,” Kelce exclaimed walking down the hill at St. Joseph to practice. “Mustache Mondays! Make sure you grow them out, kids.”

Kelce was sporting a full beard at practice just days ago but changed up the style to kick off the practice week. This was his first day participating in full after missing the past two practices with back and hip tightness. He wasn’t the only Chiefs player to rock the mustache this Monday, though.

A number of Chiefs players posed after practice on Monday, showing off their facial hair. That group included TE Blake Bell, WR Gehrig Dieter, OL Andrew Wylie, WR Tyreek Hill, OT Wyatt Miller, and LG Joe Thuney.

Kelce’s girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, chimed in on the trend. The two joked back-and-forth about mustaches on Twitter following practice on Monday. It’s safe to say she’s a little upset about him trimming the beard in favor of a mustache.

What do you think, Chiefs Kingdom? Do you approve of mustaches becoming a facial hair trend in the Chiefs’ locker room? Let us know your thoughts on  Facebook and Twitter.

Trevor Lawrence had the best reaction to someone accidentally telling him to shave his mustache

To be fair…

Trevor Lawrence has a mustache, but you can barely tell. It’s hasn’t quite grown all the way in yet and looks sort of patchy.

And because it’s not all the way there, it doesn’t look as great as it could just yet. But it’s a work in progress! These things take time. When facial hair is growing in, it’s always a struggle. After it gets there, though? You’ll never want it to go away.

One reporter who sat in on Trevor Lawrence’s media availability after Clemson’s loss to Ohio State wasn’t that patient, though. She accidentally let it slip out that Lawrence needed to shave his mustache and it was hilarious.

His reaction was also the best.

“Reporter: Poor Trevor needs to shave his stache.

Lawrence: Thank you.”

Ouch. Talk about laying it on thick. And this is after the loss to Ohio State, too. Poor Trevor, indeed.

That is absolutely hilarious. To be completely fair to the reporter, it doesn’t look the greatest just yet. If there were ever a time to shave it, it would be now. Lawrence took it in stride. He got a in a good chuckle, even if it was a bit awkward. Certainly, he knows the stache doesn’t look the greatest right now.

Patience, though. It’ll come through. Someday.
