MSU dominates Florida Atlantic for 10th win of season

Michigan State basketball welcomed in Florida Atlantic to the Breslin Center on Saturday afternoon for one last game before a brief holiday break.

The Spartans, behind a very spirited effort from Coen Carr, took care of business and dominated the Owls, 86-69. The win marks the 10th win of the season for MSU.

In the game, after pulling away in the first half, Michigan State never let Florida Atlantic get the deficit to single digits.

Coen Carr led the way with 17 points and 8 rebounds, while Jaden Akins and Jeremy Fears both added 13 points. Frankie Fidler aided the effort with 10 points, while Jaxon Kohler nabbed 12 rebounds, despite his offensive struggles.

Michigan State will be back in action on Monday Dec. 30 at the Breslin center for an afternoon showdown.

Florida Atlantic announces starting QB for season opener against MSU football

FAU has announced their starting QB ahead of the season opener with Michigan State:

Michigan State football now knows what is ahead of them in their week one contest against Florida Atlantic. The Owls head coach Tom Herman has announced that Cameron Fancher has won the starting quarterback job.

Fancher is a transfer from Marshall, where he threw for over 3,700 yards in 23 games over the last two seasons.

Michigan State will lock up with Florida Atlantic on Friday, Aug. 30, to open the 2024 season and the Jonathan Smith era.
