Michigan State football is breaking out its “shadows” black uniform this week against Indiana

Michigan State football will be breaking out its unique black shadows uniform for the first time this year against Indiana this week.

The Spartans announced they’ll be going with the black shadows uniform this week via a social media post. This will be the first time this season Michigan State will wear the unique black alternate uniform.

Michigan State last wore the all-black uniform in a shutout home loss against Michigan last year. So, hopefully, the result in this week’s game against Indiana will be better for the Spartans.

Kickoff between the Spartans and Hoosiers is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be available to watch via Peacock streaming service.

Michigan State football will wear all-green uniforms on the road this week at Boston College.

Typically on the road Michigan State will wear a white jersey but with Boston College wearing all-white for their annual Red Bandana game, Michigan State will go with an all-green look. That includes a green helmet, green jersey and green pants combo for the primetime matchup.

Michigan State comes into this matchup with an 3-0 record on the year. Boston College is also off to a strong start at 2-1, with the lone loss coming at top 10 Missouri this past week.

Kickoff between Michigan State and Boston College is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.

It looks like Michigan State will be breaking out their new alternate uniforms for this Saturday’s rivalry game vs. Michigan.

Michigan State’s official social media account released a teaser clip on Tuesday night that suggests the team will wear their new “Shadows” black uniforms this week against Michigan. The tweet from the account can be seen below:

This offseason Michigan State unveiled new black alternate uniforms known as the “Shadows” uniform. These received a ton of excitement from the fanbase and it appears they’ll wear them for the first time ever against Michigan.

Kickoff between the Spartans and Wolverines is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be televised nationally on NBC.

Michigan State football will go with a more traditional look in this week’s matchup against Illinois.

The Spartans released the uniform combination they’ll wear against Illinois, and it’s a more traditional look for the green-and-white. Michigan State will wear its standard green helmet with the Spartans logo, white road jersey and all green pants.
