Michigan State basketball looked dominant on Saturday afternoon, and it got the attention of at least one national analyst.

Michigan State made easy work of Nebraska on Saturday afternoon, winning by the final score of 89-52. Michigan State came into this game considered a slight favorite over the Cornhuskers, but they left that game with their being no doubt they were the better team.

The Spartans have now won six of their last seven games, with notable victories over North Carolina, Colorado, Nebraska and at Minnesota during the stretch. This recent strong play has college basketball national analyst Seth Davis giving the Spartans some praise.

Davis sent out a post on the social media platform X during the second half of Saturday’s game, stating Michigan State appears to be “considerably better than we thought.” Michigan State came into the season unranked in the preseason poll and still has yet to crack the Associate Press Top 25 as of this post (that will most likely change tomorrow when the rankings are updated).

At 8-2 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play, it does seem like Michigan State may be a better team than many expected as Davis said. We will have to wait and see, though, as there is still plenty of games left on the schedule this season.
