Michigan State basketball completed an impressive opening week of Big Ten play with a blowout victory over Nebraska on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans once again led throughout and turned up the heat in the second half en route to an 89-52 victory against the Cornhuskers. Michigan State led by 10 at the break, but really took control after the break to cruise past Nebraska.
Michigan State was led in scoring by Jaden Akins, who finished the game with 18 points. Right behind him was Jase Richardson with 16 points.
With the win, Michigan State basketball improves to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play. The Spartans will be off for the next 10 days before returning to the court against Oakland on December 17 at Little Ceasars Arena in Detroit.
