Hear what MSU RB Nate Carter had to say following the Spartans’ 38-7 loss vs. Ohio State on Saturday

Michigan State football dropped its second straight game on Saturday night in a blowout loss to Ohio State.

The Spartans hung with the Buckeyes for most of the first half, but a late half score for Ohio State pushed their lead to three scores which ultimately was too big of a hole to overcome. The final score was 38-7 and was the Spartans’ ninth straight home loss to Ohio State.

With the loss, Michigan State drops to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big Ten play on the season. The Spartans have now lost two straight games, and have another tough game ahead at top 10 Oregon next week.

Following the loss, Michigan State running back Nate Carter met with the media to discuss the game. Hear what he had to say in his post-game press conference in the video below:

Michigan State football added to its lead over Prairie View A&M thanks to a huge run from running back Nate Carter.

With the Spartans already up 14-0, Carter was able to bust off a 60-yard touchdown run to push Michigan State’s lead to three touchdowns. Carter got a great block from wide receiver Montorie Foster to help spring him for the touchdown run.

MSU RB Nate Carter comments on being named a team captain for Spartans

“It’s a dream come true.”

“It’s a dream come true.”

That’s what Michigan State starting running back Nate Carter had to say about being named a team captain for the upcoming season. Carter is one of five Spartans to recently be named team captains for the Spartans.

The other captains for Michigan State are quarterback Aidan Chiles, offensive lineman Tanner Miller, linebacker Jordan Turner and defensive lineman Maverick Hansen.

Carter is entering his second season with the Spartans after transferring from UConn. He ran for nearly 800 yards and four touchdowns last year for the Spartans.

For Michigan State football, it’s all about the process.

Nate Carter was one of many Spartans to sit down with the Big Ten Network crew during Monday night’s camp tour show. The network is in the midst of its annual camp tour show that travels to each Big Ten school ahead of the 2024 season.

During an interview with the crew, Carter touched on the “process driven mindset” and how that is going to positively impact the Spartans this upcoming season.

Michigan State’s star running back is getting it done on and off the field

Michigan State’s star running back is getting it done on and off the field.

Nate Carter has been selected as a 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee for his efforts off the field. According to a release, “this year’s 178 nominees champion causes including mental health awareness, youth mentorship, hunger relief, domestic abuse prevention, and many more. In addition to being actively involved with a charitable organization or service group, each player must also maintain strong academic standing to be considered for a spot on the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.”

Carter is the Spartans’ returning leading rusher and is expected to again play a big role for Michigan State. He ran for just under 800 yards and four touchdowns last season.
